Happy Creative New Year!

As we come to the end of 2015 and approach 2016, I thought I'd look back on what 2015 held for me from a crafting/designing/blogging point of view.

I was very lucky in 2015 and got to design for 6 different DTs and a further 3 GDTs, I was also published in 2 magazine issues.

Design Teams I designed for in 2015 were:

Totally Tilda
Dies to Die for
The Ribbon Girl
Deep Ocean Challenge
LDRS Creative (Little Darlings Rubber Stamps)
Michele R Designs

I also designed for the following as a guest:

La-La Land Crafts
Saturated Canary
Elisabeth Bell (Digi Bells and Challenge Blog)

I was published in Issue 2 and 3 of Die Cutting Essentials magazine.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff when you look back and add it all together. However, like everything, things come at a cost and by October I was feeling totally wrung out. Work had been tremendously busy (I work full time), as I'd been given a lot of new responsibility to shoulder and other stuff occurring in my personal life meant that I just couldn't find enough hours in the day and was often coping with only 4 - 5 hours sleep. So I took a step back and made the painful decision to step down from some of my DT spots and give myself some time to catch up and enjoy Christmas.

With guest spots ending too, that means that going into 2016 I'm down from designing for 6 DTs in October to 2 currently. I'll be joining another DT for a 6 month slot also beginning in January but I'll tell you more about that next week ;).

3 DTs seems far more healthy for somebody working full time doesn't it? Especially when you factor family and friends into the equation.

So I'm really looking forward to designing in 2016 and having more time to enjoy creating.

In the meantime I would like to thank all the Design Teams that I was lucky enough to work with in 2015 (some I'd worked with for much longer), and show a project made for each team in 2015

  4. Yes I agree DT work can take up a lot of time. You did the right thing by cutting down on your commitments. I have only designed for one site in the past and that itself was tough juggling work , home and family!! Cheers
