Cloudy Day

Hello!

Today I have a card for you where the focus is on the sentiment.

I used a few different Whimsy products on my card, all of which are linked at the end of my post, just click on the pics to go to the item in the store.

First I took a piece of yellow card, some yellow distress ink and the Sun Rays Stencil, and sponged the ink through the stencil with an ink blending tool. Once fully dry I used Versamark ink and white embossing powder to emboss my sentiment.

I cut 2 strips of white card with the Cloud Edger die before layering them on the top of the yellow card to frame the bottom of the sentiment.

I cut the whole thing out with one of the Stitched Ovals dies and blended a little blue distress ink on the bottom edges of the clouds.

I took a panel of white cardstock and used the same oval to cut out the centre of the panel, and then adhered the panel to my white card base with foam tape. I then glued the yellow oval into the aperture in the card, flat to the card base.
I finished off with some clear Nuvo Drops to suggest raindrops.

Whimsy July Release - Fireworks Stencil

Hello!

I have another quick card for you, this one uses the new Fireworks stencil from the July release at Whimsy Stamps, alongside the Celebrate die from the Word Dies Set and the Wavy Edgers Die Set.

First of all I inked a panel in a mixture of Faded Jeans darkened with a little Chipped Sapphire distress inks then sprinkled with a few drops of water and dried.
I used the Fireworks Stencil and some Nuvo Glimmer pastes to add my fireworks and once dry I cut the lower edge with the Edger Die. I cut another slightly larger piece of red card with the same die, to dit behind my background.

I used the celebrate die to cut out some silver glitter card and offset this on some red card stock cut with the same die. I glued everything to my white base card and then added some sparkly red Nuvo drops to finish. That's it!

Whimsy Stamps - July Release - Flower Puffs & Beaucoup Bouquet

Hello!

We're kicking off the new July release over at Whimsy Stamps today and I have a simple card using 2 of the new products alongside alongisde a couple of older ones.

This card looks complex but was really super simple to make.

First I stamped the Flower Puffs BG stamp onto some kraft card stock and shaded in the areas with a white pencil. Really quick and simple to do but gives a very effective result. You could just stamp and emboss with white embossing powder but then you wouldn't get the black outline which I quite liked here.

After shading, I cut out my panel using the larger of the 2 frames in the Shaker Maker Rectangle die set and then cut out an oval with the Stitched Oval die set, big enough to frame my sentiment.

I made a card base from black card stock and then I used my MISTI to line up on my sentiment in the middle of the oval, stamping with Versamak ink and embossing with white embossing powder.

I then glued my panel and frame to the card base, popping up my frame with some shallow foam tape and finished the whole thing with some sequins.

I've linked all my Whimsy products at the end of my post.
