My Fair Lady @ Dies to Die for

Happy Friday everyone! I am still on my hols so this was a super quick make from me before I left, in between sorting all my packing lol!

Because of the lack of time this is rather a minimalist card from me today, I won't go so far as to say CAS, but it's hovering on the edges of ;)

It was very quick and easy to make though and took a minimum of materials, so perfect to whip something up at the last minute or if you have a bunch of cards to make.

I coloured this cute stamp with my distress ink and Spectrum Aquatint markers.

Skin: Vintage Photo, Spice (SA)
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Outfit & Wings: Victorian Velvet, Slate (SA)

I used the following items on this card:

Walnut Stain Distress Ink Pad

The green seam binding is from the Ribbon Girl and the little diamante embellishment is from my stash.

I edged all my die cut papers with Walnut Stain DI, the tiny butterflies come as part of the Make a Card #3 set and I used 1 piece of the Scrapberry's Curls cut into 2. These come with 2 full pieces in the set for £1, so this card only cost me 50p to decorate with this lovely bling, how cheap is that?!

I hope you like my super quick make today, I won't be back home until Sunday, but I have a fab surprise for you tomorrow, so stay tuned :) xx

Baby Mine Boy Mini Album

Happy Friday everyone! If you're in the UK I hope you're looking forward the the long Bank Holiday weekend.  It's even longer for me because I have a whole week off, so there won't be much to see from me next week as I'm going away to Guernsey for a few days and then to my parents to celebrate my Dad's 85th! So not much will be happening on here, but look out for a special post from me on the 30th...it's actually my Dad's birthday on that day, so it will be scheduled, but you won't want to miss it.....not saying any more lol!

Anyway, this is my cute little mini album made with Carta Bella Baby Mine Boy....I just love these papers sooooo much!

To be honest this could as easily work for a girl where the family isn't much into pink, also.

This is the front, I went for a 3 ring binding this time. I really love the way this came out.

The inside pages.  There are photo mats on all pages and spaces for tags. There's a flip open page that closes with a small magnet and also a flip down page with a ribbon and button closure.

I used lots of fun die cuts to embellish along with some buttons and enamel dots.

If you want to watch it directly on YouTube you can follow the link below

Baby Boy Mine Coaster Mini Album

I used the following items:
Dies to Die for

Ribbon Girl

I hope you like it! That's all from me today, I have more mini album goodness to share with you another day, but don't worry, as you can see from yesterdays post, I haven't given up making cards!

Happy crafting! :) xx

Alva Feeling - Bingo at Deep Ocean Challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you are all keeping well. It's just a week until my holiday now and I can't wait! I hope the weather is kind to us.

Anyhooooooo....it's time for a new challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenge and this time the theme is
Bingo

I actually made this card very ahead because it was made for my sweet and lovely blogging friend Maya Go, who makes such pretty cards, (you can find her blog here) as part of the Kit & Clowder card swap. She has received it now so totally safe to share here.

I used the diagonal line of sentiment/stitching/butterfly, the top horizontal line of flowers/lace/butterfly, the vertical middle line of lace/stitching/metal (charm) and finally the 3rd vertical line of green, ivory and brown....so quite a few lol!
I used the beautiful Alva Feeling stamp from Bildmalarna (it's so sad that these stamps aren't being made anymore), and coloured her to match the lovely Day in May collection from Pion Design, I've linked a lot of the products used at the end of my post.

She's coloured in distress inks -
Skin: Vintage Photo, Spun Sugar
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Clothing/wings: Gathered Twigs, Shabby Shutters

I slathered her wings (well wing I suppose as you can only see one) in lots of Glamour Dust. If you don't own any I highly recommend it, I bought mine 2 years ago and I still have half a bottle left, it lasts aaaaages and it's sooooooooo sparkly, much, much more than the photo shows.

A few close ups of the elements.

I coloured both of them with my distress ink markers and I have the colours written down but I need to have a tidy up because I cannot find my notebook, but I will add them for you later. I used the  Birthday Sentiments on both of my cards and really the ones I used don't have to be just for birthdays, I think they are perfect for many different occasions too.

I also used the following Little Darlings Dies on my cards:

I'm entering this into Live and Love Crafts Challenge #35 Ice Cream I used the Chocolate Vanilla and Raspberry colours from the bottom row.

Vintage Wedding Beer Mat Mini @ Dies to Die for

Happy Friday everyone, it's nearly the weekend...wheeee!
I have something a little different for you today, are you sitting down?
It's not a card....don't faint now lol!

I've been messing about with a mini album using the new Maja collection, that's not quite ready to share yet, BUT while researching different styles of page, binding etc, I came across these really neat mini mini albums made from beer mats or drinks coasters.  Now if you don't have any of these you could just cut them from regular chipboard, but luckily for me I had a whole bunch of promotional ones sitting in a draw just waiting for me to be creative :P

As luck would have it Tracy had just sent me some of the gorgeous Vintage Wedding papers from Pion Design, so I made a sweet little wedding album.
I've listed all the products used at the end of my post.

I covered the mats with various papers from the collection, they measure around 3.75 inches. I added a little frantage in Aged Ivory to this Scrapberry polymer word, I really like the effect. I've had that key Charm for a while now and it was perfect to use here as it's fairly large. The dangly pearl bits? That's actually an earring I upcycled. The lace is also upcycled as it was taken from a belt that came with a lace dress, I never wore the belt so I thought I would re-use the lace. :) The Prima bling is cut from a much larger piece, it's quite economical to do this as you can sometimes get several projects out of one piece.

I made some tags for journaling and quite a few photo mats including one that looks like a clock.  I also made an accordion fold page.

All the pages have been edged with Walnut Stain distress ink, I didn't add lots and lots of embellishments as I didn't want to over power such a small space.

I made a video to show you all the pages properly, it's my first ever YouTube video, so please be kind and overlook the worst of my waffling please!

Follow this link to my video

List of products used from Dies to Die for:

Ribbon Girl embellishments:

I also used various sentiments from the

I'm really happy with the way this turned out, the photos really don't do it justice. Also it was so much FUN to make, you really should have a go, I already have the cutest baby beer mat mini nearly completed and I'm sure I'll make more because they really are easy and fun to make.

This album will be available to buy in my Etsy shop once I get home from work and can upload it!

Right that's all from me today, sadly I'm stuck at work today, but it's the weekend soon and then I get to play ;)  Happy crafting and I'll see you soon! :) xx

Pricilla

Happy Monday everyone. Linda here popping in with another Saturated Canary make for you. I've used Pricilla  from the Girl Power collection today and I don't know why but when I saw this pretty little thing stamped up I thought of the song 'Buttons and Bows' I mean just look at all those frills and flounces. So that made me want to put buttons on my card and then I ended up with buttons, flounces, bows and a whole sewing theme on there lol.

I coloured her up with my distress ink markers and I have to say I'm not really happy with the way she came out, Mr Mojo seems to have gone on a little vacation, I can't complain because I've kept him very busy lately. if I had more time I'd like to do her over, but time if not my friend and work calls so she will have to stay as she is.

Colours Used:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Victorian Velvet
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Gathered Twigs
Outfit: Evergreen Bough, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Slate (Spectrum Aquatint)

I've used the following products from shops in the UK

Stamp SC, LDRS - Pricilla
Paper Carta Bella - Sew Lovely
MFT Pierced Oval Stax

Pink Tutu Tulle Ribbon
Ophelia Ivory Tulle Lace
Cheesecloth
3mm Aqua Satin Ribbon
3mm Hot pink Satin Ribbon
6mm Flatback White Pearl Trim
Pale Pink Small Polka Dot Button
Aqua Rolled Roses
Baby Pink Tulips

That's all from me today, enjoy your week and I'll see you back here on Friday for something a little different.

Have a great day! :) xx

Genie - Shaped cards at the Ribbon Girl

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Yesterday they finally came to fit my new oven, so I can cook stuff properly again lol, apart from that most of yesterday was spent on Pinterest and in my crafty corner discovering the joys of beer coaster mini albums, my goodness they are just soooo much fun! So expect to see something from me soon in that category.

Anyhooooo, back to the reason I'm here today and it's to share my card for the new challenge over at The Ribbon Girls.

The theme this week is Shaped Cards or Anything Goes.

You can use any image you like as we know you all have your favourites and we're looking forward to seeing them on this 'everything goes - use any image' challenge - we hope to see all types of project including shaped cards, boxes, candles and projects of all kinds!
**Your project must include an image**

I made a shaped card, though if I had discovered beer mat mini albums earlier it may have been something else :P

Earlier this week I chose an image that I'd used before and gave it a different treatment and I thought I'd do that again. A while back I used Genie, but I did her in very strong funky colours to match the papers I had chosen, I thought that this time I'd choose the same shape and a similar layout but use very different colours and a bit of a twist on the design.  So I chose this lovely Maja design paper and coloured her up with my distress inks in soft pinks and yellows to match.

I've popped a list of items used and links at the end of my post.

Just so you can compare the difference, here are the 2 cards side by side

Items used from the Ribbon Girl:

Stamp - Saturated Canary Genie from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps
Papers - Maja Design - Coffee in the Arbour - Flourishing Garden
Bazill Cardstock Frosted Yellow
La-La Land Folding Banners Die
Little Darlings Vintage Affections #4 Enchanted Wishes

This card is for sale in my Etsy store

This card is now sold.

I do hope you can join in with our challenge.
As usual we have two fabulous prizes, the first is a stamp of the winners choice from our generous friends at Lili of the Valley who have some beautiful images to choose from, and a £10 voucher from The Ribbon Girl for the randomly chosen winner of the challenge

That's all from me today, but I'll see you again tomorrow and don't forget to check out the rest of the makes from the DT, they are pretty amazing!   Happy crafting! :) xx

Eva at Dies to Die for

Happy Friday !! It's the end of another working week and a weekend of crafty fun to look forward to. I've been a busy little bee recently with lots of makes to share here now and lots for future releases, so far I've been lucky and Mr Mojo has not deserted me, let's hope he doesn't decide to do a runner after I type this lol!

Today I thought I'd share Eva again, I used her back in January and I used quite deep strong colours and I thought it might be fun to colour her again in a quite different style...well still MY style, but I thought it might be nice to go for much lighter softer colours etc to show the difference.

I used the beautiful Paris Fleamarket Collection from Pion Design, these are so yummy.

I coloured her with distress inks to match my papers.

Skin: Vintage Photo, Victorian Velvet
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut
Clothing: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvey, Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Evergreen Bough (I blended these a bit to get the colour I wanted)

I used plenty of Glamour Dust on her top and underskirt for sparkle.

I cut out letters from the border sheet to make a little sentiment in a Scrapberry polymer frame, I used some Frantage in Shabby Pink over the frame for a nice effect.

I echoed the layout on the front inside the card, using one of the border strips to replace the lace and ribbon.

That's all from me for today, but I'll be back on Sunday.  Have a great weekend! :) xx

Amber - Little Darlings Rubber Stamps DT Post

Hello! I'm back with some more Little Darlings Rubber Stamps inspiration. Now as all my followers will know, I have a real love for Saturated Canary images, I just love them. I have coloured this one before, but she's so lovely and last time I did her with alcohol markers, so I thought I'd bring Amber out again and colour her with my distress ink markers.

I did have a hard time deciding which paper to use, but I just love the coral pink of this older Pion Design paper and I wanted to echo the shape of a card I made recently, but without the easel element.
I also used the Fluttered Tulip Bodice die, I thought it looked perfect with the butterflies!
I do love how this turned out, she looks gorgeous in this colour I think.
I've popped some links to items used at the end of my post.

I coloured Amber with the following DI Markers

Skin: Vintage Photo, Fired Brick
Hair Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Gathered Twigs
Outfit and Butterflies: Fired Brick (I added white dots with my Posca pen)

I decorated the inside with one of the 6 x 6 squares of Pion paper.

This card is for sale in my Etsy store, just click the link below

That's all from me for today, but I've been a very busy bee in my crafty corner recently, so I'll be back on Friday, Sunday and Monday with more crafty goodness to share.

Have fun! :) xx

Breeze - Flowers at Deep Ocean Challenge

Good evening, it's time for another challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenge Blog, and this time our theme is

'Flowers'

Easy peasy right?

I used this beautiful flowery Pion paper and lots of paper flowers on my creation.  I've linked a lot of the products used at the end of my post for you.

I used the delectable Breeze from Saturated Canary here, she's in rubber from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps and I've coloured her with my distress ink markers. She's reduced over at Dies to Die for at the moment, so you can pick her up for cheap!

Just love this deep violet colour.

Pretty Blossom Purple/Violet

I do hope you can join us, we love to see your work and the entries for our last challenge were just amazing!

I'm entering the following challenge/s:
Addicted to Stamps - Flowers
Craft-Dee BowZ - Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow

That's all from me tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow with some more Little Darlings Inspiration.

Happy Hour for a Fab Fortieth

Happy Friday folks! Hope you're all looking forward to the weekend as much as me. I would like to say a huge thank you to the people who stop by an leave a little love with comments.  I'm sorry I don't get to leave you all comments as much as I would like. I do visit your lovely blogs, but often it's on my phone during my lunch break at work, so I don't get to leave a comment.

It's a work pal's 40th soon and for once I had the time to think about making a specific card.  I thought that Time for Tea's Cocktail Dress would be just perfect for this, who wouldn't enjoy cocktails on their 40th birthday.....well maybe some people wouldn't, but that's certainly not me, though my 40th is definitely behind me lol!

Anyhoooo enough waffle and on with the sharing! I just have the one photo today as I've had a really busy week and dashed off this photo after coming home from a trip to the cinema to see Avengers: Age of Ultron, which I highly recommend you to see if you haven't already.

I matched the stamp with some beautiful Authentique papers called Elegant and I'm ashamed to say that I did not check the website first and sadly Tracy no longer has this pad available.  She has such a wide range of beautiful papers though, you're sure to find something that you like.

I coloured her with my Distress Ink and Aquatint markers....I really must start using my Copics and pencils again, I just really love colouring my images with a brush, but pencils would be soooooo useful to take on journeys with me to colour images, I just never seem to have the hours in the day to practice lately. Oh well one for the 'to do' list.

I used another of the Make a Card die sets from CC designs, I used the 2 larger rectangle shapes to mount my fussy cut image, plus the long narrow one for my sentiment.

I just love these little polymer frames from Scrapberry, they are perfect as an accent and I used it here to frame the number 40.  I'm sure she will just love me reminding her how old she is lol!

You can find a full list of items available from the shop below:

The ribbon, button and twine are all from the Ribbon Girl.

That's all from me today, have a lovely Friday and if you're in the UK I hope you enjoy the long weekend :) xx
