Emma at Dies to Dies For

Happy Tuesday folks. I'm flying in by the seat of my pants today to share my inspirational make for Dies to Die for with you.  My goodness I've been busy lately, not only is it super busy at work (we've had a visit from the Deanery last week followed by a CQC visit next week, so everybody is very stress and hyper lol) but I'm been rushed off my feet with design work the last week.  Just be ready for an influx of stuff from me, because this week I should have 6 or possibly 7 makes to share with you....if I don't break down and hide under my desk LOL!

Anyway, here's the first of them, I hope you like her.

I used some beautiful papers from MME.  Links at the end of the post.

This is Emma from LDRS, as Saturated Canary drawn by the talented Krista Smith.

I tried not to over embellish as I didn't want to draw away from the beautiful delicate image.

Instead of a sentiment I used one of these wooden embellishments by Prima, I think this word says it all.

Well that's it from me today, I'll be back on Thursday with my Kraftin' Kimmie sneak peek.

Have fun! : ) xx

I didn't use wings on my card this week, but I did use up lots of bits and pieces.  The black card that I used for the die cuts was an odd piece that was left over from other projects and wasn't really enough to make a card with.

I used Samantha by Annie Rodrigue and coloured her with my Copics, I decided to make her a redhead this time using a combination of E13, E18, E19 and E35. I paper pieced her outfit with some small scraps that were left over after making the card.

The black tulle I used around the frame was a small length that's been sitting in my stash since halloween lol and the ribbon was left over from a card I made in February, there was just enough left for this card.  I used an odd button and a bit of recyled black twine.

I decorated the inside with the paper that was left over from the front, it required a little creative cutting and placement but I managed, and the red dots were all I had left from another project, I had to mix and match sizes a bit but it seems to work

Pink Ribbon Tilda in Green for Marvelous Magnolia

Happy Thursday everyone!  Well it's nearly the end of my working week, just tomorrow to go.  I always look forward to the weekend cos it means I get more crafting time.  I've been doing quite well lately and seem to be getting a little quicker making my cards, I suppose these things come with experience, though I don't think I'll ever be a fast crafter.

But enough waffle and on to the reason I'm here today.  It's time for a new challenge over at Marvelous Magnolia and this time the theme is to 'Add Some Green'.  I'll admit right away that I normally don't use much green, I'm not a big fan, though lately with the new Pion range A Day In May,  it's growing on me. Well I could have just added a bit of green ribbon or embellishments, but I thought I'd go all out and make a mostly green card.

I used Pion design floral frames in both green and violet, links to products can be found at the end of my post.

Tilda is coloured in Distress Inks, this was my very first stab at DI colouring, I saved the image to use, I just added some lilac to the bow and some sparkle. Love this MFT postage stamp die I used to frame her.

I added some WOC flowers and a lovely butterfly corner die cut which I embellished with liquid pearls.

I decorated the inside to complement the front and used some gorgeous green satin ribbon and some purple seam binding.

Do pop over can check out the rest of the teams fab creations, and join in with us, we have some great sponsors this time
Magnolia-Licious, The Rubber Buggy, Stamping Tilda, Scrapbooking Boutique

I do hope you'll join in with us.

Enjoy the rest of your week, I'll be back at the weekend with my GDT make for Kraftin' Kimmie

Have fun! : ) x x
