Whimsy Stamps - Flower Fairy

Hello!

It's hard to believe that we're already almost halfway through September and racing towards the end of the year. Have you started making your Christmas cards yet? I really need to get started on mine and to help there are tons of wonderful Christmas stamps and stamp sets available from Whimsy Stamps, including some gorgeous Christmas fairies just released this month.

Today I have a non Christmas fairy to share with you, this is an older stamp but I've been itching to use her for a while, she looks so sassy and modern!

I've coloured her with my Zig Markers, those of you who know me will know that these are now easily my 'go to' markers of choice though I have previously used Copics and Distress Ink Markers (which I still sometimes use).

I made a reasonably simple card, not at all difficult to construct, but quite striking with the use of some eye-catching papers to match your colouring.

After colouring her I fussy cut her out and popped her up on some foam tape, showcased by 2 frames cut using the Shaker Maker Rectangle die set. The background behind the frames is created using the Formal Lattice Stencil and some inks to match the colours on the fairy.
The sentiment is from the Fly By clear stamp set.

Whimsy Stamps - Ice Cream Penguin

Hello!

I'm here with another stamp from the June release over at Whimsy Stamps, this one is a fun summer themed image....and well we all know how much I love penguins right?

This is called Ice Cream Penguin.

I made a simple card, stamping and water colouring my image with Zig Markers and then mounting on some layers of colourful patterned paper.

The little sentiment is from an older Whimsy Stamps clear stamp set called Polka Dot Fun.

I finished with a few colourful enamel dots.

Whimsy April Release - Old Fart

Goodness how fast this year is going, I can't believe that it's already April solidly into Spring, (although with all the cold and snow we've had recently that's really hard to fathom!).

Anyway, since it's April, we have, of course, a new product release at Whimsy Stamps. There really are so many fabulous new goodies, but for my card today I've been playing with the 'Old Fart' clear stamp set.

This is a fun little set with a fun image and lots of hilarious sentiments to go with. Great for those in your life of a more 'seasoned' age.....provided they have a solid sense of humour of course.

I kept things simple, stamping in black ink and colouring fairly basically with a mix of distress ink and Zig markers. I added some patterned paper along with some die cuts and a sentiment from the same paper pack that went well with the image and stamped sentiment from the set that I used on the card.

I finished with a few of Whimsy's glittery enamel dots.

Whimsy Stamps March Release - Donut Birthdays

I have a cute little card today using some new products from Whimsy Stamps March release. I've added pics of the products used at the end of my post, clicking on these will take you to the item in store.

First I made a simple background using the Farmhouse Basket stencil and my distress inks. 

I stamped a sentiment from the set at the top and bottom of my panel, then I stamped and coloured 3 of the stamps from the Donut Birthdays clear stamp set with my Zig Markers. This set does not come with matching stencils, so I fussy cut them out, which with this set is super easy. I popped them up on my main panel with some foam tape.

I cut a background for my panel using the new Shaker Maker die set and popped the main panel on top with some craft foam. I stamped the last part of my sentiment on a scrap of Bristol Smooth and coloured it with my Zig Markers to match my donuts, trimming it down when dry to a small rectangle and popping it into place with some more foam tape.

To finish I used a few enamel dots.

Whimsy Stamps - Fly By stamp set

Have you been enjoying the new March release from Whimsy Stamps?

I have a cute card showcasing a couple of the new products. A clear stamp set called Fly By and a set of border dies called Envelope Edgers (links to products at the end of my post).

I cut my card base with the border die, setting aside the lower piece to glue back in. Once nice thing about these dies is that they cut emboss both sides, so that both pieces have stitching lines.

I stenciled the top half of my card using Distress Oxides to make a rainbow of clouds as a background for my plane which I stamped and coloured seperately with Zig Markers and then fussy cut.

I stamped my sentiment in black ink and then positioned my plane with some foam tape.

I glued the bottom half of my card bask in against a piece of backing card and finished off with a smattering of enamel dots in matching colours.

Whimsy Stamps - Stuck on you Cactus

Hello!

I'm back with some more inspiration from Whimsy Stamps' February release.

This time I've made a fun card using the Stuck on you Cactus rubber stamp, which I coloured with my Zig markers and then fussy cut and mounted with foam tape on a background panel made with the new Swish stencil and several graduating colours of Distress Oxide inks.

I mounted my panel popped up on some craft foam over a panel of black cardstock on a lime green card base.

I stamped a simple sentiment from the Polka Dot Fun clear stamp set, directly beneath my image and finished the card with a few enamel dots.
