Hello!
I hope everyone is keeping well and if you are in the UK I hope you're enjoying the sunny weather we've been having lately. I must admit it's a shock to actually be getting a summer this year (while it lasts), but the humidity has been getting to me a little. My asthma does not like the heavy weather much at all at the moment, but it's so nice to see the sun I won't complain too much.
Anyhooooooo.....in other news, my card today uses the Splash clear stamp set from the June release that I used a couple of weeks ago. This time I've made a completely different style of card. I stamped my images with Versamark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder, stamping the boat separately from the background.
I water coloured the background and boat with my Zig markers, fussy cut the boat, cut into the waves with my craft knife and inserted the boat so it's sitting among the waves, rather than on the top, gluing it firmly to the background.
I then cut out a panel of wood panelled patterned paper, and cut a circle from the centre, adding some acetate to the back. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set underneath the circle with black Versafine ink.
I added foam tape around the circle for the shaker portion and then more foam tape to pop up the rest of the panel.
I glued the background panel to my card base, added some sequins to the centre and added my wood patterned panel on top, centred on my card base and background panel.
Finally I cut a circle frame using the Shaker Combo Die Set, in silver mirri card and glued that around my aperture, adding some little screw embellishments to make it look a bit like a port hole on a ship.
I do hope you like my card for today, all items can be found using the links below, just click on the pics to take you directly to the items in the store.
