Time for Tea - Sweetheart @ Dies to Die for

Happy Tuesday everyone, I'm here with my inspirational post for Dies to Die for,  and I do hope you like it cos I have to admit I'm just a bit chuffed with this one.

I've combined Time for Tea's newly released 'Sweetheart' with the new Pion Design collection 'One Day in May (links to products are as always at the end of this post).

Since the papers are very soft and vintage looking, I thought I'd try colouring the image with Distress Inks, not thinking it would work too well, her being very modern looking, ...well was I surprised, cos she looks fab!
Links to products used can be found at the end of this post.

The little tickets are cut from the element sheet.

I've just realised on posting this that I forgot to colour in her eyebrow! I'll have to go back and touch that up lol.

On the inside  I decorated with the other side of one of the papers and a postcard from the element sheet for writing a message on.

I thought these large butterflies cut with a Joy Crafts die were just the thing to finish it off, a few pearls popped on just gave it that finishing touch.

I do hope you like my share today, I had such fun making it.

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday, I'll be back on Thursday with my Marvelous Magnolia DT post.

Tilda Binding Flowers for Easter @ Totally Tilda

Happy Sunday everyone!  We're halfway through the weekend, are you a cup half full or half empty kind of person on a Sunday?  I try to be a cup half full, but sometimes it's hard when the weekend goes so quickly.  I'm off to Ikea today to get some storage soloutions for my little crafting corner, I'll share some pics once it's all done, don't expect a snazzy craft room though, that's only in my dreams lol, still since I have sold all but 1 of the cards I put on Etsy in the last few weeks, I thought I'd invest in a bit of storage to help me craft 'smarter'

But enough waffling on and onto the reason I'm here today. It's time for another challenge at Totally Tilda and this week the challenge is Easter, to qualify your card or project must feature at least one egg. This can be on the paper, the image, a die, charm...you get the idea :)

I didn't have any egg themed Tilda stamps, or dies, so I went with some lovely Pion Design paper with eggs and chicks.  Aren't the colours just gorgeous?

I used Tilda Binding Flowers, I thought she looked quite good for Easter and coloured her with my Copics to match the lovely papers and decorated with a little frantage in Aged Ivory. You can also just see the stickles I added to make her sparkle.

I decorated the inside to complement the front.

I added some lace and some borders from the collection, and made a double bow from this ribbon in my stash.

Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and all that was left was to add a sentiment.

That's my card, now let's see yours, you could win a fabulous prize from our Sponsor

Simon Says Stamp

Who is offering a wonderful prize of

So what are you waiting for? Get your eggs out girls lol and don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's posts, they're pretty fabulous : )

Right that's it from me, I'll be busy today sorting my storage, but I'll be back on Tuesday with my Dies to Die for Post and a bit of Time for Tea lushness, happy Sunday! : ) x x

Isabelle for Kraftin' Kimmie 'Flowers' and Kit & Clowder's 'Wings'

Good morning all! Are you having a fab weekend so far?  I'm feeling great today, the sun is shining, and life is good.  My Dad's health has picked up a bit this last month, we were very worried about him at the beginning of the year (he has had a series of mini strokes) and while he is still quite frail and has lost most of the strength in his left side (he is left handed so this is a complete bummer) he does at least seem to have his appetite back and is eating properly again and doesn't seem so depressed. So I'm happy about that.

I am also very excited because today *DRUMROLL*   is my first post as GDT for Kraftin'' Kimmie Stamps !! I'm sooo excited to be guesting as part of Kim's fabulous design team and Kim and all the girls have been really welcoming and so much fun on Facebook too : )

Ok so enough chat about me and on to the challenge!

There's also LOTS of brand new 6x6 paper pads…while supplies last!!

Phew....that's a lot of yummy  crafting goodness to take in!

I decided to go all out for my first guest post and cover both challenges.  So my card has both flowers and wings. Here's what I made.

I chose these lovely papers by Maja Design, a mix of Vintage Summer Basics and Vintage Spring Basics, I thought they were lovely colours and had plenty of flowers on them and I also added lots of flower embellies.

For 'Wings' I used the oh so lovely Isabelle, designed by Annie Rodriguez, isn't she just the prettiest?  Love her dress too,  I've added some stickles to her dress and wings, but it's very hard to get it to show up in the photos. To add some more wings I cut lots of pretty butterflies with an X-Cut Punch that I bought on sale in my local craft store.

I coloured her with Copics and stupidly didn't write them down, I'll try and work out which colours I used and add them here later.  I sprinkled some frantage in Aged Aqua and Chunky white around the image.

I used a Martha Stewart PATP punch set to make the shape of my card and distressed and inked, then stitched all my layers. The swirls are made with a Magnolia Doo Hickey Die and the gorgeous paper flowers I used are all from the Ribbon Girl or Wild Orchid Crafts.

I added some cheesecloth under my layers, some lace with velvet ribbon and some gathered ivory tulle and finished off with some coloured pearls and pins from my stash.

Well that's my card, now check out the wonderful creations by  the rest of the Krafty Girls and special Krafty Guests featuring this week’s challenge and head over to the Kit and Clowder blog for their challenge!! We’re sure you’ll be inspired!! Then join us, play along and you could WIN some fantastic Kraftin' Kimmie rubbah!

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday folks, I'll be back tomorrow with my card for Totally Tilda.

Have fun! : ) x x
