Hello everyone! Friday has rolled around so quickly and I'm here to share a little Uptown Girl goodness today.
Recently my sister got in touch to ask me to make a card for her partner's mother who is turning 80. Now I know you are looking at this card and probably thinking....blimey, that's a bit bright for an 80 year old lady, but I think you can enjoy things a little 'out there' whatever your age, and my sister thinks she will love it.
To be honest the whole thing just screamed bright colours at me as soon as I saw the stamp, so I just had to go with it!
So this is Brittany the Birthday Girl and I coloured her with a mix of Distress Ink and Spectrum Aquatint Markers, the new(ish) Twisted Citron was perfect for the paper I chose. I've popped a list of items used with links for you at the end of my post.

This is fabulous Linda. I love the image and all the your bright and beautiful colours - they make me want to give bright and beautiful a try rather than muted colours I tend to use. A gorgeous design.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
Hugs Sharon. x

Who says you can't "like" bright things when you are old(er)?! I am SURE the lady you made this card will love it and that it'll bring smile to her face. I don't know why, but this colour combination just makes me wanna jump on my feet and dance a "hippie dance". lol Love the card! Hugs! xx
ReplyDeleteOMG your colouring and colour's on This Girl are Awesome. Stunning job.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I have a question: the base of the card is made with a Die? Wich one?
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for information and sorry about my bad english,
Laura
Hi Laura. The card base is cut with a large die yes. I use a die from Go Kreate called XXL Square Frame Frilly #7.
DeleteThe company website is http://www.gokreate.co.uk They are based in the UK but they do deliver internationally. You will need a die cutting maching that cuts up to A4 size to use the size of die I used to cut the card base.
Hope that helps! :) x
Thank you so much for the precise information!
