Good Morning everyone! I hope you're all enjoying a lovely Sunday and having a great weekend.
I had a wonderful time yesterday, as I popped along to Lili of the Valley's 10th Birthday celebrations and met up with some of my team mates from this and other DTs and meeting new friends.
It was a FABULOUS day, and VERY busy! My goodness the place was heaving with people when I arrived and the queue was amazing, luckily I managed to nab myself a few goodies (though finding the time to use them may be more difficult lol), and then after watching the lovely Dena using her Inktense pencils I went back for those, so I'll try and post something in the next few weeks that uses that medium, once I get used to them. It's always fun to try new things.
Anyhoo, enough of my drivel and back to the reason I'm here. It's that time again for another challenge at Totally Tilda. It was boss lady's very special birthday this week, so in honour of our very own TT Princess, our challenge is 'May Princess' so this time we want to see your princess Tilda's.
I actually only had one stamp in my collection of Tilda's that fit the bill and she's super sweet but realy quite small, so I decided I'd sit her in a 'window'. Now I don't have any window dies either, (something I think I will need to rectify soon as I think it would be a useful die to have), so I gave the appearance of a window and her sitting in it....surveying her kingdom perhaps? Links to products used are as ever at the end of my post.
When I was deciding what I wanted to do with my card I noticed that a new challenge was starting over at Live and Love Crafts, they were using an inspirational photo as their theme and it just seemed to fit perfectly with what I wanted, so I used that as my starting point. I went shabby chic for this, which is a style I love but don't go full out on that often, but this is my gentle version of it.
I coloured Tilda with Distress Inks as I wanted soft delicate colours to go with my Pion papers. As usual all my papers are stitched and inked with DI.
Colours used:
Skin - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo
Hair: - Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy and Gathered Twigs
Clothing - Victorian Velvet and Pumice Stone
Crown - Wild Honey and Walnut Stain

I did pop something else on here before I sent it to Susie, and that was a couple of die cut numbers...21 do you think? ;) A princess has to have diamonds and pearls, so I added plenty of pearls, pearl trim, some diamante and a lovely sparkly crown charm.
The flowers are a mix of small Prima roses, and buds and larger flowers from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts.
Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the inside of my card today as I'd already written it out, but I just used one of the 6 x 6 squares from this paper sheet and added some pearls.
I do hope you can join in with us, we have a fab sponsor this week
