Seas the Day!

Hello!

Remember how in my last Tiddly Inks post I said I loved the newer sea themed stamps?

Well this one was a particular favourite of mine and I just couldn't resist it.

It's called Octopi my Heart, and I just love it's quirkiness, plus it's sooooo cute!

I coloured it with my Distress Ink markers and I already knew in my head what colours I wanted for the Octopuses and I think it suits them really well, I also knew that I wanted to make a shaker card with it, I don't know why, but for some reason it screamed SHAKER CARD at me lol.

It does come with it's own fab punny sentiment which reads 'You Octopi my Heart', but since I didn't want a love themed card, I substituted another punny and sea themed sentiment that I thought went brilliantly with it.

I really like the way it turned out, originally I was going to use sea themed papers, but I actually really liked the colours in the papers I used and there was enough of a sea theme with the image, sentiment, die cut and charms, to not need the addition of themed papers I think, somtimes it's nice to think a little outside the box.

I'm popping this into the

as well to give an idea of the range of my style.

Have a lovely day! :) xx

Mr & Mrs

Helloooooooo!

It's me again...well I guess that's obvious as it's my blog, duh!

I have another wedding card to share with you today. Goodness I seem to have made a lot of Wedding  cards so far this year.

Originally I was going to make an oval shaker card with this, but I couldn't quite get it to look how I imagined it in my head, so I changed my mind at the last minute lol!

I used this delightful stamp from the Art by MiRan collection, called Wedding Day.

I coloured it up with my distress ink markers to match some lovely vintage style papers and added a chipboard sentiment which I darkened with a little Walnut Stain distress ink.

The top layer is two strips of design paper individually stitched, but I'm thinking I may as well have saved time and gone with one square piece as you can barely even see the gap with everything on top.

Papers and embellishments from The Ribbon Girl are listed below.

Well that's all from me today, but I'll be back soon with more inspiration.

Monday Candy Number 4 - Winner!

Evening everyone, a super quick post from me just to announce the winner of last week's candy.

My random number generator (otherwise known as my OH) chose the number 4.

That's you Valerija

Please email me at linda.levoir@gmail.com to claim your prize.

Lorraine, I apologise that I have not sent out last week's prize yet, I had a massive sort out and then couldn't find where I'd stashed the stamps I was giving away. I've found them now so the stamp will go in the post to you tomorrow.

Now...I did have a nice 500 followers candy planned. However, Blogger seems to be a bit broken and all followers lists have disappeared from people's blogs, including mine, so until they fix this, my candy will have to wait as I have no way to track it lol!

Until next time...
