Lemon Tilda in the Sun at ACR

Morning all, it's Friiiiiday. My goodness I'm glad to see the end of this hot and busy week.  I'm here today with my A Creative Romance design team hat on, yup it's the Elegant Artisans turn to post a challenge and I must admit it seems ages since I made something for them, because I stupidly missed the last one as I'd got my dates mixed up in my diary.

Anyhoo I'm here today and our theme is 'Fun in the Sun'.  So we want to see your Summer Sunshine inspired makes.

**It's 11 pm as I'm typing this up and i'm starting to fall asleep (lots of early starts at work this week), so to save time I'm not linking products or listing colours....BUT....I'll come do that tomorrow evening after work**  : )

So let's get straight on with the pics:

I used Lemon Tilda from the new collection. It paired brilliantly with this Maja 'Coffee in the Arbour' papers. All papers have been distressed, inked with Walnut Stain distress ink and hand stitched, I couldn't find top stitch thread in purple shades, so I doubled up machine embroidery thread instead. I popped a couple of Hot Air Balloon die cuts in the top left corner, using a La-La Land Crafts die, these were cut from the Maja Vintage Spring Basics 6 x 6 pad

She's coloured with Inktense pencils.
Skin: Baked Earth, Carmine Pink, Saddle Brown
Hair: Amber, Tan
Clothing, basket, lemons: Sicilian Yellow, Dusky Purple, Mauve,Light Olive, Neutral Grey, Saddle Brown

I added a little Aged Wine frantage and a little glamour dust.

Lace, Seam Binding and ribbon are from The Ribbon Girl. The bling is from The Hand Crafted Card Company.

Flowers are a mix from WOC  and The Ribbon Girl and the butterfly at the top is from Kay's Kreative Korner.

Do pop along to the blog to see the rest of the team's amazing makes, and why not join in, we have the wonderful Mary and Andrea from The Ribbon Girl sponsoring our prize this week.

I can't wait to see what you make!

That's all from me today, I'll pop along later and list colours and link products/suppliers and I'll be back on Sunday with my Totally Tilda make.

Have fun, it's almost the weekend!

Salute Tilda - All at Sea at Totally Tilda

*If you are looking for my blog candy please follow the link here*

Happy Sunday to all my followers and visitors both new and old, I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend and I'm so glad you took the time to drop by.

Today it's time for a new challenge over at Totally Tilda, and this time the theme is 'All at Sea'.
For this challenge we want to see your nautical or beach themed Tildas.

I chose to use Salute Tilda, and matched her up with some beautiful Pion papers. I've added links to products used, where I can, at the end of this post.

I coloured her up with my Inktense pencils, with a light distress ink style.  I do love these pencils, they're so versatile the way you can get different effects with them.  I'm afraid I don't have the colours for this one as I forgot to note them down, and I'm not as familiar with the colours yet like I am with my Copics. I must get into the habit of noting the shades I use when I'm colouring with them. If you're interested in trying these pencils for yourself, why not enter my blog candy here as I'm giving a set of them away.

The frame is an MFT one and the wave border is from La-La Land Crafts.  I added a little cheesecloth behind my layers, to simulate netting.

The inside is simply decorated with a design from the 6 x 6 sheet and a plain white frame for a message.

I hope you like her, do nip across to the challenge blog and take a peek at the rest of the team's makes, it's really worth your while.

I'd love to see you join in this challenge too our prize this week is

Salute Tilda
All other flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, I'm off now to finish crafting my cards for next week in the hope I might get to enjoy some of this lovely sunshine we're having today.  Take care! : ) x x

I'm entering the following challenges:

Tilda's Town #107  (Fussy & Fancy)
Addicted to Stamps #84 Outdoors
BunnyZoe's Crafts May Challenge - Flowers and Charms

Rosie with Cake for ACR's 1st Birthday

*If you're here for my Candy follow this link*

Wheeee! It's Friday! Thank goodness for that I say, having 3 days off is lovely till you return to work and your in box looks like you've been off for a month! It's been a busy 4 days for me.  Luckily, I'd already made this card a few weeks ago when I was having my first play with Inktense pencils and a LotV stamp after my visit there for their birthday bash, and how very appropriate it is because it is A Creative Romance's first birthday, yay!

To celebrate some of the Chic Crafters and Elegant Artisans are joining together to put on a Blog Hop for you.  If you've never joined in on a blog hop before, all you have to do is jump from blog to blog, and if you get lost, just pop back to the main blog here, to pick it up again.

The theme this time is Anything Goes, with the option of Happy Birthday if you want. I can't wait to see what you all make.

Now since it's a special occasion the challenge will run for a whole month rather than our normal 2 weeks, AND we have 3 great prizes to give away. As always the prizes will be drawn at random from the challenge entries, but make sure you stop at each blog in the hop and leave a comment, as we also have some extra prizes hidden along the way, and who knows where they might be?!

I haven't been with the girls since the start of the challenge blog, but I've had the best time being here and I still can't really believe they chose little old me to be on one of their teams.

So anyhoo...on with my card. I made a birthday card and this actually went to a friend to give to her mum for her birthday. I've popped links to my items at the end of my post.

The image is Rosie with cake from LotV. The shape is cut with a Go Kreate die, I used a different shape for the second layer, and the frame is a Spellbinders oval.

I coloured her with my Inktense pencils and as this was my first try I wasn't noting colours, but I do know that I used Teal Green and Red Violet for the clothing. The gorgeous flowers are a mix from TRG, WOC, Prima and a gift from a friend. The sentiment is also from LotV as is the lush paper.

The ribbon is the last piece from my stash and the lovely bling is from the Handcrafted Card Company.

Our wonderful sponsors this week are

If you've come here from Jenny's blog, you're going the right way and you need to visit Melly next.  If you're lost you can pick up the trail again back at ACR

Well I do hope you enjoy hopping with us and I'll see you back here on Sunday for my Totally Tilda DT make.

Happy hopping! : ) X X
