Eliza for Kraftin Kimmie Top Ten Finalists

Recently I used a Kraftin Kimmie stamp for the first time and I loved it, these stamps are so versatile and fit many themes and they are such a joy to colour. Anyway, looking on their blog I found a fun theme to follow for a challenge and was inspired to make a card and then looking through the rest of the posts I discovered they were having a guest contest.  I'm pretty busy at work, home and my craft corner lately, so I'm being careful what DT commitments I take on, but this is just guesting for a single month, and won't be when I'm busy with family stuff, so I thought I'd enter my card to see if I made it into the top ten.

Well as I'm sure you can guess by the title of this post I did! So this ...finally...it's been a mega busy week this last week....is my entry for the 'final' and it's not perfect, because I was very rushed lol.

The challenge theme this time was Kim Loves Pink...well you don't have to twist my arm too far to get me to make a card that uses pink lol.

As you can see, I decided to go with something completely different to my first Kraftin Kimmie card, but as I said I like the versatility of this stamp range and this one 'Eliza' just screamed 'vintage' at me. So I teamed her up with some Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics....love this range.

This was one of those cards that I love....it practically made itself.  Once I had the main idea in my head it all just came together.  I cut the clocks out of some of the paper and mounted them on some die cut gears.  I gave the gears and the die cut clock a treatment of Aged Ivory Frantage. The clock faces I brushed with Tim Holtz crackle clear crackle paint.  I'm really happy with the way this turned out.

I slipped some gears under the lovely flowers too, and made a tag from the elements sheet to attach my bow to. She looks like a bow kind of gal doesn't she? Since it's the month of romance I added a little romantic sentiment ticket that fitted the theme.

I hope you like my card, I'm sure that I'll be making more projects with Karftin Kimmie stamps in future, whether I win the contest or not, in fact I have 1 all stamped up and partly coloured with distress inks, and another on it's way to me in the post.  I had a ball making this card, I hope it inspires you to have some fun too.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Kraftin Kimmie - Top Ten Finalists.....moving on!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day : ) x x
