Whimsy DT - Girl's Best Friend

Hello!
I have some more Whimsy Stamps inspiration for you today, using several products from the new release. I've linked all the products from the Whimsy store at the end of my post, so just click on the small pictures to take you there.

For my card today I first made a background using the new Lattice Background Stamp. I stamped this with Versamark ink and then used white embossing powder and a heat tool to melt it. Then I stamped the paw print from the Lattice Buddies small stamp set in every gap of the lattice pattern and embossed those also.

I took some of my Distress inks and blended them over my background, keeping the colours fairly muted and then wiped over the embossing to make it clean and bright.
I cut out my panel and stuck it to my card base with a thin layer of craft foam in between.

I then stamped the dog from the Girl's Best Friend clear stamp set and coloured it with my Zig markers, keeping to greys, As I don't have the matching dies for this set I fussy cut my image.

I stamped my sentiment in black Versafine ink on white banner and mounted the banner with some foam tape on my panel. Then I added my little dog, also popped up on some foam tape. I finished the card with some clear gems to simulate the 'diamonds' in the sentiment.

Whimsy Stamps - Forever Polka Dot

Hello!

It's been another hectic work week for me, with all the flu going around the hospital has been super busy to say the least. At least I have crafting to ease the stress!

I have a simple card to share today, no colouring on this one and no really fancy techniques.

I took a piece of white cardstock and some Distress Oxide inks in Broken Lipstick, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry, my blending tool and the new Polka Dot stencil and made my background adding the colours at random all over through the stencil. I then stamped the large 'forever' stamp from the You're My Always clear stamp set in Black Versafine ink on top of my stencilled piece and cut it out with the 2nd largest die from the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle die set. All links to Whimsy items can be found at the end of this post, just click on the image to be taken to the item in the store.

I stamped the rest of my sentiment from the same stamp set, onto some coral cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed with crisp white embossing powder, then cut into little banner shapes.

I made an A2 card base from the same coral cardstock, then cut a piece of black cardstock a little bigger than my panel and adhered everything on my card, sandwiching some craft foam between the black and coral for some extra dimension and adding the banners with some shallow foam tape.
To finish I added a few clear sequins.

Whimsy Stamps - Snow Man Tidings

Hello!
Going through my draft folder today I discovered that although I shared this card on social media and the Whimsy blog, the blog post I made here never went live, so I'm sharing it today.

I have a little shadow box style card to share with you today using the Snow Man Tidings stamp set.

I stamped and coloured my images before cutting them out with the matching dies and setting aside.

Then I made my pink sky and cloudy background with a stencil and distress ink and glued that to my card base.

I made some snow banks with white cardstock using the borders dies.
I added some glitter to the trees with some Nuvo Glimmer Paste  and then cut several frames from the same deep pink card stock as my base. I glue my elements to the snow banks and the snow banks to some of the frames adding extra frames between to add dimension (if you want to cut less frames or have less weight to the card you can substitute craft foam or foam tape between layers, but I prefer the neatness of using the extra layers of cardstock).

I finished with a frame cut from pink glitter paper and popped the final elements up with foam tape.

I used the following Whimsy products on my card, click on the pictures to take you to the products in store.

Whimsy January Release Day 2

Hello and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break.

So I have been neglecting my blog a little recently, things have been so busy at work and home in the run up to Christmas that I've had limited time for blogging and Facebooking recently so I'm going to try my best to be better at that this year.  However if you want to keep up to date on all my makes, you may want to follow or bookmark my Instagram account, click here for link as I share a lot of extra stuff there.

Today is Day 2 of the Whimsy Stamps January release and I made a sweet card using the new rubber stamp Fairy Wishes which is such a pretty and adorable image from our new artist Marina Fedotova, check out the other cute fairy stamps from her in this release.
I've included links to the new products at the end of my post and they are all available to buy now,

I kept my card pretty clean today just stamping and colouring with Zig and Distress Ink markers on a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock, stamping a sentiment from Whimsy's clear stamp set Shine Bright, and adding a few coloured gems and some Wink of Stella to finish. I adhered the panel to a slightly larger card base in Lime green cardstock to match her dress.
