Paper Smooches - July Release - Body Language

Hello!

It's Friday finally and I'm hoping that my parcels arrive this morning before my partner leaves the house so that I can get crafty with my new goodies this weekend lol.

Speaking of new goodies, I'm guesting again for Paper Smooches and my card today is made with more of the new July release.
This stamp set is called Body Language and it's a fun and quirky set which includes lots of body parts and punny sentiments. It come with a matching set of Body Language Dies.

Today I used the heart from the stamp set, which has 2 different faces you can add, a happy one and a sad one. The sad one goes perfectly with the sentiment I used.

Firstly I stamped my image onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth watercolour paper and coloured it with my Zig Clean Color Markers. I also stamped the arms and legs in black ink. I added the face to my image once it was dry and cut out all the pieces with the matching dies and set those aside.

I took some more Bristol Smooth paper and blended some distress inks (Festive Berries and Shaded Lilac) onto the area where I wanted to place my image, sprinkled with a few drops of water and blotted, and made a few small splatters with white paint. I then cut this out with a large rectangle die and adhered it to a small note card made from black cardstock.

I cut a small banner from a scrap of black cardstock and another larger one from some grid patterned paper and positioned them where I wanted them. I then used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment perfectly beneath the banners with black versafine ink.

I glued the arms and legs onto my heart and added that to my card, popping it up with some foam tape. Finally I added a few sparkling clear sequins to finish.

I'll share the other card I made with this heart stamp, this time using the smiley face, at the weekend.

Thanks for dropping by!
