Divine Tilda - Anything Goes at Totally Tilda and Friends

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday! It's just 4 days till Christmas eeek!  I must admit that since putting up the Christmas Tree last night I'm feeling a lot more Christmassy. The room smells divine......which brings us right along to the stamp on my card for this weeks Totally Tilda & Friends Challenge, because I used coloured up Divine Tilda (see what I did there? ;) )

Our theme this week is anything goes, so you can make anything you like, as long as it has a stamped and coloured image on it (it doesn't have to be Tilda), but do remember it has to be a rubber stamp and not a digi and it must be a new creation, no back linking.

Now this is a Christmas card, it's just VERY non traditional. The papers are Vintage Frost Basics from Maja Design, and there are pink and blue angels on one sheet (which admittedly I have mostly covered lol) and I went with the whole Angel theme since she's 'Divine' and added some die cut wings made with a La-La Land Crafts die.

I coloured Tilda to match with Distress Ink Markers.
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar
Hair: Antique Linen, Rusty hinge, Tea Dye
Clothing: Broken China, Stormy Sky, Brushed Corduroy
Background: Victorian Velvet

All edges are inked with Walnue Stain DI and papers are hand stitched with Top Stitch thread.

I added some lovely lace and a lovely diamante embellishment  from my stash, most of the flowers are from The Ribbon Girl as is the pretty blue seam binding and the gems.

Our sponsor this week is

Bunny Zoe's Crafts

so why not join in with our easy challenge?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's beautiful makes.

That's all from me for today, I won't be posting another card until after Christmas now as I will be spending time with my family, but I will pop on sometime next week to post another giveaway, have you entered my butterflies and bling one yet? If not  it's right at the top of my page.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and that Santa brings you your fondest wishes :) xx

Paper Doll Marci - Winter @ Dies to Die for

Happy Friday everyone, it's the last Friday before Christmas wheeeeeee!!

Before I share my card for today I must apologise for the lack of promised candy, I was so busy with getting ready for Christmas this week that I just ran out of time, but it will be here on my blog tomorrow, that's my first job to do tomorrow morning as it's Saturday and I have no work.

Today I'm sharing one of my last Christmas cards for the year, very soon I'll be switching to other stuff like Valentine's day and Spring cards.  I made this card for a friend who's a lover of all things slightly quirky, and I really think this stamp from La-La Land fits the bill. As usual links to products are at the end of the post.

I stamped my image with Versafine ink and coloured Marci in Distress Inks
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar, Fired Brick (heart)
Hair: Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy
Clothing: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Tumbles Glass, Stormy Sky.

All papers were edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and hand stitched. I added lashings of Gesso to the finished creation

I tucked a little snowflake charm under the bow. The little mittens, hats and sock are a small die set from Whimsy, I couldn't find it in the store, but I'm sure Tracy would order it for you if you asked her nicely.

Well that's all from me today, but I'll see you tomorrow for that candy! :) xx

Balloon Basket - Lovely Lili DT at The Ribbon Girls

Good morning and happy Sunday to all.  I've been a bit absent again recently, but work has been manic and I've been trying to fit in getting ready for Christmas also, so crafting has taken a bit of a back seat the last couple of weeks. Plus I've been working on some hush hush stuff that you won't see till January. But as work quietens down for Christmas next week I should be getting home on time and have a little bit more space to craft. Also I'd like to get some candy on my blog next week to thank you all for sticking with me through my recent difficult time, so keep an eye out for that, there some lovely bits that will be up for grabs.

Anyway, enough waffle from me and on to the reason I'm here.Today it's the last Lovely Lili challenge of 2014 at The Ribbon Girl, before the Christmas break, we get a bit of a holiday, so our next challenge will be in February. It's a very easy one too, Anything Goes ...but please remember you must use products from Lili of the Valley on your project to qualify.

When my daughter visited me  a couple of weeks ago, se asked me if I could make a baby card as she was going to a friend's baby shower and I've had this stamp in my collection unused since February, so it was a great opportunity to take it out and ink it up.

I coloured it with Distress Ink Markers.

Skin : Tattered Rose, Tea Dye
Hair: Antique Linen
Basket, Balloon, Ribbon and Bedding: Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Peacock Feathers.

I inked all my layers with Walnut Stain DI and stitched them with top stitch thread.

The sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley and I've used lots of lovely goodies from The Ribbon Girl, including this gorgeous glittery ribbon!

Snowballs/Snowflakes at Totally Tilda & Friends

Good morning everyone!  Before I carry on with my post today I just have to point out the change to the challenge title....that's right it's Totally Tilda and Friends.  So now you are not limited to just using Tilda.  Of course you can still use Tilda if you want to, but now you can also use other stamps....but there must be a stamped and coloured image on your card and it must be a rubber stamp, no digis please.

So that's our changes, I do hope you like them.

Today's theme is Snowballs/Snowflakes, so we'd like to one both of them on your card. They can be part of the image, die cuts, pattern on the design paper or ribbon, charms, as long as we can see them it's good, but please check the full rules on the blog.

I must admit I've been suffering horribly with a migraine this weekend, so I just have one picture of my card to share with you today, as the lights were not helping!

This is 'It's Cold Outside Tilda' and she's a real sweetie.  I coloured her with Copics and paired her to some Days of Winter Pion papers.

Copics used:

Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000, R20
Clothing: E40, E42, E44, R81, R83, R85, R59
Hair: E11, E13, E15, E19

I added some lovely Clementine lace, satin ribbon and 8 mm and 6 mm flat back pearls, as well as Dahlia , Ivory Rose . Small roses , and ivory Cherry Blossom from The Ribbon Girl
I did mean to go back in with some glitter, liquid applique or liquid pearls for the snow, but I completely forgot!

I do hope you will join in with us, you have 2 weeks to enter and we have a fab prize

 from our Sponsor

for the winner. I can't wait to see what you all make! and don't forget to check out all the wonderful makes from the rest of the team.

Victorian Christmas & Farewell A Creative Romance

Morning everyone! I'm still super busy here and not yet quite caught up and the Christmas rush is not helping at all. But I'm here today with a bit of a sad post really. This is A Creative Romance's very last challenge.

We are so sorry to be leaving, but Becky and Jenny are both very busy ladies and the stresses of running the challenge are proving a little much. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for having me on their design team for the past year and to wish them all the best (and also the rest of the team) in everything they do.

Our challenge this time is 'Anything Goes'.  My card is a vintage style Christmas card I made at the request of a work friend.
She wanted to send something to her friend in Australia who loves all things Victoriana, so she requested a vintage style card from me. I tried to keep as close as possible to a Victorian style theme by using a vintage image along with rich red and ivory with just a sprinkling of gold.

The papers are from the new Maja Christmas collection A Gift for You. Now I'dd readily admit that I wasn't too impressed by this collection, but this particular sheet I did like.
I inked all my edges with Walnut Stain distress inks and hand stitched with top stitch thread and added some cheesecloth to soften and add to the vintage feel.

I added a selection of flowers and berries from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts.

Love this sparkly ribbon from TRG and the beautiful embellishment is from my stash.

I also added plenty of pearl trim and some gorgeous lace and decorated the inside fairly simply,  to complement the front.

Some links to products can be found below.

That's all from me for today, but don't forget to pop across to the blog to see the rest of the team's wonderful makes, it will be your last chance, so we'd love to see as many of you as we can entering :)
 TTFN! :) xx

For today's project, I got to play with Sweet Saraleigh, drawn by the lovely and talented Mi Ran Jung, aren't I lucky, she's sooooo pretty.

I went full on cupid for this and coloured her with distress markers for a beautiful soft effect which I thought really suited her.

I slathered her wings with lots of Glamour Dust.  The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps and is cut with a coordinating die which comes with a special guide that helps you match the die to the stamp perfectly!

This is the stamp I used

You can find these products in the Whimsy Store and if you live in the UK or Europe, you can get them at Dies to Die for.

November Kit Club - La-La Land Crafts

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm feeling far less stressed this week, though with 7 cards to try to make/post this week I may change my mind by the weekend lol!

Anyway I'm here with my take on the November Kit Club from La-La Land Crafts.

You can find full information about the club here.

I really love this set and honestly I'm not entirely sure I did it justice, I had lots of ideas but as you know the last few weeks were hard for me and my Mojo ran away. But I hope you like what I make and do be sure to check out all the rest of the makes by the DT on the Blog, because they really have done some amazing work with this kit.

I tried something completely new for me and made a mini album. I enjoyed this so much it's definitely something I'd like to try my hand at more and some more complex ones, I just need to find the time.

Copics Used:
Skin:E13, E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E40. E42, E44
Clothing: BG72, BG75, BG18, YR21, YR23, YR24, R35, R37, R59

Here's a look at a few of the pages.

Now I have to admit that I had plans to make a 2nd mini album in a different style, but time and mojo ran away over the last week or so, so I ended up going with a card instead. For once I went with distress inks markers in bright rather than muted tones. I added hints of pink and streaks of glitter to her hair for fun, but it's a little hard to make out in the photo.

Distress Ink Markers Used:
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar
Hair: Spun Sugar
Clothing and camera: Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Broken China, Pumice Stone.
