Aquarius Tilda - Glitter, Gems and Pearls at Totally Tilda.

Happy Sunday everyone! It certainly is for me because I'm off to York today to have lunch at Betty's Tea Rooms with my friend Emily.  I was given a voucher for my birthday and just haven't gotten around to using it yet, so really looking forward to it.  I always love eating there, even if you do have to queue, (and you always do), quite a bit to get in.

But before I rush off to be a lady who lunches, I'm here to share my latest card for the new challenge over at Totally Tilda.  It's dead easy this time so we're hoping to see lots of entries. You just need some gems (any sort) some glitter, and some kind of pearls on your card....and a stamped Magnolia Tilda of course! : )

I chose to use Aquarius Tilda., you can get her from Bunny Zoe's Crafts . I've had this stamp for some time now, but this is the first chance I've had to use it, I thought she would go perfectly with this theme.  I chose Turquoise because she's the Water Carrier and I chose Lilac because Amethyst is Aquarius's birthstone, plus the 2 colours look so lovely together.

The papers are from a LotV pad called Timeless Victorian.  I've inked them all with Walnut Stain distress ink and hand stitched them. The Shape is cut with a Grand Nestie set from Spellbinders, this is labels 1 I think. I popped a little cheescloth behind the layers.

I coloured her with my Copics and decided to colour her hair turquoise too, doesn't it look pretty?  I've fussy cut her out and then mounted her with foam tape on a couple of ovals cut from the  MFT Pierced Oval Stax set. There is glitter all over that strem of water, but it's very hard to pick up on camera, there is also glitter on the beautiful butterfly from Karla's Kreative Korner though that you can see in the photo. I think she looks like she's watering the flowers, don't you?

The cheesecloth, satin ribbon, spotty organza ribbon, lace, flat back pearls and most of the flowers all come from The Ribbon Girl. That beautiful pearl and gem encrusted embellishment on the bow is from The Handcrafted Card Company.

The pearl string is from Live and Love Crafts. The inside is simply decorated to complement the front.

  10. OMGosh, Linda, I am just "over the moon" with this card. I love the creative coloring and Tilda looks magnificent with Blue hair. So fitting since she is a water sign. I love the aqua and purple color palette together. (sigh) Such inspiration.
