Purre Love - Whimsy Stamps

I hope you're enjoying the August release from Whimsy Stamps so far!  I'm away visiting family for the week of the release and a bit more so I'm hoping these scheduled posts go live at the right time lol!

Today I have a card made with the Clear Stamp set 'Purre Love'

I made a background with distress inks, masking a moon which I went back and coloured in with my Zig markers, to make a night sky which I cut into a panel a little smaller than my card base.

 I stamped my images onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock with Versafine ink and coloured with my Zig markers and a size 2 watercolour brush, then I fussy cut my images and set them aside.

I cut some black cardstock with the grass edger dies and positioned them on my background popping the front one up with some foam tape.

I worked out where I wanted my main image positioned and then placed and stamped my sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used the Galaxy Star Stencil and some Nuvo paste to add some stars to my sky. I adhered the background to my base and then added my images.

Finally I added a few small star sequins to finish off.

Bloody Brilliant!

It's day 2 of Whimsy Stamps August release and today I'm showcasing a card made with the new Cheeky Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.

First I took a piece of watercolour paper and blended on some rainbow colours using Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet, and an ink blending tool.

I splashed some drops of water over and blotted, then once completely dry I used the large die from the Shaker Maker Rectangle set to emboss a pattern and trimmed the edges.  I mounted this directly to a black card base.

I used the same inks I had used on my background to stamp my large word on some plain white card and then stamped the 2 smaller words from my chosen sentiment above this with some Onyx Black Versafine ink. I cut my sentiment out with a small rectangle die from the Stitched Nested Rectangle set and then adhered this to a piece of black card and mounted this on my background with some craft foam to pop the whole thing up.

To finish off I added some colourful enamel dots.

Cloudy Day

Hello!

Today I have a card for you where the focus is on the sentiment.

I used a few different Whimsy products on my card, all of which are linked at the end of my post, just click on the pics to go to the item in the store.

First I took a piece of yellow card, some yellow distress ink and the Sun Rays Stencil, and sponged the ink through the stencil with an ink blending tool. Once fully dry I used Versamark ink and white embossing powder to emboss my sentiment.

I cut 2 strips of white card with the Cloud Edger die before layering them on the top of the yellow card to frame the bottom of the sentiment.

I cut the whole thing out with one of the Stitched Ovals dies and blended a little blue distress ink on the bottom edges of the clouds. 

I took a panel of white cardstock and used the same oval to cut out the centre of the panel, and then adhered the panel to my white card base with foam tape. I then glued the yellow oval into the aperture in the card, flat to the card base.

I finished off with some clear Nuvo Drops to suggest raindrops.
