Winter Birds at Dies to Die for.

Morning! Christmas is just around the corner and I'm posting my last few Christmas card makes this week. I'll have something different to show you next week as by then you'll probably be sick of seeing Christmas cards.
Anyhoooo....I'm here with my post for Dies to Die for and this week I've had a play with lots of goodies. I've added links at the end of the post that take you directly to the item in the store.

I used more of the beautiful Pion Design papers. The birds went perfectly with the Bildmalarna stamp I used.
The shape of the card is made with a Martha Stuart Punch around the Page set.  I've used lots of stickles on the edges and the snowflakes. I also added some glitter to the branches and for once it actually shows in the picture, hooray!

Love this cutie from Bildmalarna, she's called 'Winter Birds'

I added flowers and seasonal berries and cones and you can see a little snowflake charm peeking out.

I barely had to add anything to this paper to decorate the inside, just a sentiment from a My Favourite Things stamp set and a couple more snowflakes.  I think you could even use this for the front of a card if you prefer a more CAS style.

Well that's it from me, I'll be getting into work as this post goes live, at least the workload is easing a little now as we approach the Christmas holidays, I might even snatch 5 minutes to write my Christmas list.
What are you asking Santa for this year? :) xx

Hey Little Birdie, A Creative Romance DT

Happy Friday to all my lovely followers and visitors.  I'm so very glad that this week is over, it's been hectic, stressful and downright depressing. At the end of last week I was on top of the world and regardless of being too busy to catch a breath everything seemed to finally be going right, then I came crashing down to earth last night with some awful news, I won't go into details here but Christmas was almost cancelled.  We managed to pull some of the worst of it out of the fire, but still Christmas is not going to be quite so merry as it was.  Ahh well, I dare say I'll bounce back in time, but anyway I'll stop whinging now and share my card.

It's time for a new challenge over at A Creative Romance, and as it's our last one for this year, both the teams have combined to make it extra special.  The theme is
'Sparkle at Christmas'
so we want to see lots of sparkle on your cards.  Here's my take on the challenge.

I used one of the new Sugar Nellie Christmas Fairies but avioded a Christmas sentiment so that the card could also be used as a card for a winter birthday, or  thank you card etc.
I've used a Martha Stuart Punch Around the corner set to shape the card, and a Go Kreate die for the base of the image. Other dies used are Magnolia Doohickey Die - Leaf and Swirl  and  La-La Land - Scalloped Border The gorgeous papers are by Maja, from my favourite collection

Crea Diem - With All My Heart and
True Friendship love, love, love these. They've all been inked with Pumice Stone DI and stitched with grey top stitch thread and plenty of stickles on the edge for more sparkle.

I just love this image, all the new fairies are fab tbh, this one is called Hey Little Birdie, isn't she adorable?  Sooo pretty, I coloured her with Copics as usual, but I tried to keep my colouring quite light, as she's really delicate looking.  I really must try out colouring with distress inks soon, I think they would quite suit this. I'd add them to my Christmas list, but my list is already so long I think Santa may end up with a hernia lol!
I've added lots of Glamour Dust to her hat, collar, cuffs and wings for plenty of sparkle.

Flowers, ribbons, button . twine and lace are from The Ribbon Girl. The bird charm is from my stash.

I finished off with some clear gems for ...yup, you got it...extra sparkle.

This card is for sale in my Etsy Store with some other recent ones.

I hope you like my inspiration for today, do head over to A Creative Romance to check out the rest of the teams creations, they are very drool worthy!  Why not join in our challenge, you can use any image, and can enter as many times as you like and combine with other challenges, as long as it's a new creation and follows the theme.  We have a fab prize on offer from our sponsors

Well that's it from me today, if you haven't already, do take a look at my other card for today...it couldn't be more different than this one other than the colour lol, and if you haven't already entered my giveaway for a

Carmen Electrafying Crafty Catz DT

You can find my Candy here

TGIF!  I'm here with my last but one DT card for Crafty Catz before we take our Christmas break. I'm really looking forward to some time off, I have a list as long as Santa's for things that still need to be done lol.

Anyway, our challenge this week is to use 2 or more dies on your project, our sponsor this week is Kenny K and I've used one of his digital images on my card today.
Originally I'd planned on going all rock chick with this, but I got these beautiful Lost & Found papers by MM in my Dies to Die for DT pack and I've been itching to use them.  Seriously I'm so in love with these (they're double sided too), that I'm going to have to buy a pack so I can use them more...and maybe one for stroking too lol!

So anyhoo, who said that sexy and sassy couldn't be pink and feminine...maybe it shouldn't, but it really works.

Aren't these papers beautiful?  They're by MME, the Lost & Found Record It range and the pack is Heirloom. I've used some Spellbinders nestie circles, and a La La Land Heart Border.  Some pink velvet trim and some black lace I found in my stash.

The image is Carmen Electrafying.  I've coloured her with my Copics, a bit different from my usual colouring style as she was quite 'cartoonised'.
Colours used were Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, Hair: W7, W5, R83and R81. Clothing & accesories: R85, R83, R81, W7, W5, W3, W2, YR 23, YR 24.

Flowers are from The Ribbon Girl. I popped a couple of small pieces of Tim Holtz film strip ribbon behind the border.

Love these ticket sentiments.  They're from Whimsy, The Fun Life Tickets 2 and I cut these out with the matching Whimsy Ticket die.

I finished the whole thing off with some bling.

Well that's my make for today, do stop by the blog and leave the girls some love, they've made some fab cards to share with you, and why not join in with our challenge, as long as your card has 2 dies on it or more anything is good :)

Enjoy your weekend, I have 2 posts today so don't miss the other one!

See you soon :) xx
