Magnolia - Snowy Tilda

Hello everyone!  Are you nearly ready for Christmas? I'm not...but I'm getting there. I'm about 70% done on presents, have got a lot of the non perishable foodstuffs and finally am getting on top of my Christmas cards....yes I know...but better late than never right?  Although work is still busy, it's starting to get to the stage where I can see the top of the hill now, I think by next week I may just be skiing down the other side ...wheeeeee!!

Anyway...... so I made another Christmas card. This one is using an older Magnolia stamp called Snowy Tilda...and ...don't fall over but, I re-visited my Copics. I may have to do this more often because I almost forgot how to use them lol.

I did paper piece her dress because I wanted the lovely texture in the paper that made her dress look knitted, but it doesn't show up too well in the photos.

The lovely papers are from Lili of the Valley, the the Large Snowflake die is Die-namics from Dies to Die for as are the gold glittery twirly things. I took out the yellow stamens from some of the flowers and added these red beaded ones from my stash.

The large red rose is from Kaisercraft and has been in my stash for quite a while.

The rest of the embellishments are from The Ribbon Girl and I've linked them below.

That's all from me today, but I'll be back at the weekend with more Christmas cheer to share :) xx

  3. Well, you might be rusty with your Copics but it looks perfect to me, you are very talented and your Tilda looks fabulous. Love the rich colours in the papers and you have reflected them beautifully in the floral details and ribbon. It's a great feeling when you've nearly finished the Christmas preparations isn't it? It's mammoth task we put ourselves through every year but worth it in the end.

  5. I am almost ready for Christmas. I have already bought most presents. For some I'm just needing some more "ingredients" (I'll be makng cookies in a jar, hot cocoa in a bucket etc.). Most of my Christmas cards are already on the way as well. I'm feeling extra organized this year. lol
Hope you'll manage to get some rest next week. :)
Your card is very, very beautfiful. I can totally see the pattern on Tilda's dress - very clever to do paper piecing, because it really does look like as if it was knitted.
    Hugs! xx

  6. Oh yes indeed I'm all done for Christmas except for the groceries. All my presents are bought and wrapped. I even got two birthdays looked after as well. Glad you're ahead of the game now too.

Your card is simply gorgeous. I love how you tied such a pretty bow. I lack in those skills. Beautiful job colouring too.

  7. Love your card Linda!! Your colouring is perfect, I haven't used my copics for a long time now, they are just sitting collecting dust. Love your design and wonderful rich colours! I have been sat in my craft room nearly all weekend, I have just 4 more Christmas cards to make now.
    Have a good week.
    Hugs
