Kaisercraft Time Machine - Memory Book/Mini Album

Hi everyone, just popping in to share a little something with you I made recently for a favourite work colleague who's just retired.

I do apologise in advance for the quality of the pictures, I did want to take proper pictures and a video of the finished item, but it was very difficult to get it all together in time with people contributing messages and stuff who were spread out over 2 completely separate hospital sites on both sides of the city. So I ended up having to take photographs in situ after it was gifted to the recipient, and obviously that means no video and the photos are not the best and have stuff in the background!  But I hope you can get an idea of what the completed project looked like. I didn't get pics of every page because I just took a few super quick shots, but it should give you an idea

Now as my regular followers will already know, I hate making male orientated stuf...like with a vengance...BUT, because I found this wonderful paper from Kaisercraft called Time Machine, and went almost a little bit steampunk, I really got into making this.

You'll have to forgive the background, as I said I had to take it in a place of work, and had to choose somewhere there was plenty of light! I used a combination of die cut gears, using  La-La Land Crafts Steampunk Heart Cogs and  Cheery Lyn gears which sadly aren't available any more. I also used some Tim Holtz metal gears and sprokets and some little screw heads from Prima.

I used a La-La Land Crafts  Steampunk Border to edge my pockets and I used some gold ink and some Aged Aqua Frantage on them for interest and to make them look a bit like they had a touch of verdigris. I also used this on the die cuts on the front cover.

The inside front cover has a flip out section with magnets and lots of fold outs for pictures and journaling, I used more of the screw heads to decorate and these fabulous wing nut heads, also from Prima as handles

This pic shows one of the pages opened out.

I hope you liked my memory book, it was very well received and I really enjoyed making it, I'm just sorry I ran out of time to make a video. I do have another couple of mini albums on the go currently though, so I should have a video to share with you in the coming weeks.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :) xx

Elisabeth Bell - Cinnamon Sugar

Hi everyone! I'm here with a little inspiration today for the Digi Bells and we have a new challenge over on the challenge blog. We'd love for you to join in the fun with us.

This week the theme is
'Button it Up'

I used one of Elisabeth's Little Cottage Cuties, rubber stamps from Whimsy.

She's called Cinnamon Sugar, isn't she gorgeous? You can purchase her here.

I coloured her with my distress ink markers and matched her to these Pion papers from the Siri's Kitchen collection, I thought they were perfect for this stamp. I cut the little sentiment at the bottom from one of the border strips. The flower is just covering it in the picture, but it says 'Sugar and spice and all things nice'.

I finished off with lots of Ribbon Girl goodies which I've linked below.

Isn't this rustic ribbon perfect for this card?! For my button I used one of these lovely wooden heart ones.

Cheesecloth
10 mm Denim Blue/Cream Rustic Gingham Ribbon
Dusky Blue Button Twine
Wooden Heart Button
28 mm Gloria Ivory Fine Cotton Lace
Ivory White Magnolia Flower
20 mm Cream Open Rose
Apple Blossom Mixed Pastels
Beaded Stamen Blue/White
Cupcake Charm Large Silver

I do hope you can join in with our challenge, and don't forget to check out the rest of the gorgeous makes from the rest of the girls here!

Take care! :) xx

Wee Stamps - Polly

Evening crafters! I'm here with my card for Deep Ocean Challenge Blog. We have a new contest for you and the theme is
White and one other colour
Well as you can tell my other colour is red. A bit unusual for me as I don't use red that often, but it does look striking used with just white.

I chose some papers from Maja Design, these are actually Christmas papers but as long as you avoid the actual Christmas prints you can use them at any time.

The super cute image is Polly from Wee Stamps, I have a whole folder of these cuties just waiting for me to colour up, so I'm really looking forward to having the time to do so.

I added some spotty buttons as embellishments as a cute change from pearls or gems, I think they really went well with the style.

I used some more of the patterned paper to decorate the inside and added a blank space for a message, although you can't see that in this photo.

That's all from me, I do hope you can join is, and don't forget to check out the rest of the teams wonderful makes!

Hugs :) xx

Elisabeth Bell - Little Friends

Hello everyone. It's my turn to post on the Digi Bells Blog and today I'm using Little Friends, isn't she just a sweetie with her little bird friend?
Apologies that the pics are not too marvelous, but I ended up taking this quite late in the evening and in a bit of a rush!

I had this lovely Vintage Garden paper from Pion Designs that had similar little birds on it and I thought that it would be a perfect match for this image, so I coloured her very delicately with my distress ink markers to co-ordinate with the papers. I used mostly the 6 x 6 papers, but the background she's mounted on is cut from the 12 x 12 paper.

The green mount is cut from Pion Colour Palette. All my edges are inked with Walnut Stain distress ink.

I decorated the inside very simply with some of the 6 x 6 design to match, it shows the sweet birds ad there's plenty of space to write a message.

Items Used

Well that's all from me for now, but I'll be along with another post to share a bit later on.
See you soon! :) xx

Wee Stamps - Winter Friends

Happy Sunday everyone!  It's time for a new challenge at the Ribbon Girls, it's a Use Any Image -Anything Goes challenge, so you can make whatever you like, but it must have an image on it.

Luckily I made my card a couple of weeks ago, as I've been full of the sniffles this weekend, runny noses are not really very good when you're trying to colour and craft!

I used the super adorable Winter Friends from Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps. You can buy the digi here or if you prefer rubber Whimsy has the same stamp in a rubber version here.

I coloured the sweet image with my distress ink markers to match this lovely paper from Lili of the Valley,

I used a variety of gorgeous embellishments from the Ribbon Girl (links below) and popped some Winter Branches cut with a La-La Land die behind the flowers and cones.

I decorated the inside to complement the outside to finish off.

Elisabeth Bell - Pati's Kisses

Hiya! Oh my, you won't believe the problems I've had posting recently.  I've had some major issues with my PC, and having to do all kinds of downloads and re-installs and so I couldn't edit and upload my pics. The original problem is still there unfortunately, which may mean a new Graphics card or worse, but at least for now I can still post.

For today's card for the Digi Bells I used Pati's Kisses, isn't she just the sweetest? Love those chubby cheeks and I just had to colour them in a way that emphasised that because they were way too cute to lose. I thought I'd do her little bear in blue for a change.

The papers are from Maja design's Summer Crush collection, I used a mix of the 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 papers.

The little Victorian Frame she's mounted on is from Memory Box, and I just shaded though the cut outs while it was still in the die , with a DI marker in Tattered Rose, to highlight the embossing.

I added some beautiful ribbon, flowers and embellishments and she was done.

I kept the inside pretty simple, just some coordinating paper and the same frame.

From the Ribbon Girl

I haven't forgotten about my promised candy, just with all the issues I've been having lately I just haven't been able to get it posted, but I will try and get it up today.

Well that's all from me, have a lovely day. :) xx

Saturated Canary - Neeve

Hi everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend, I'm back today with my card for
Deep Ocean Challenge Blog and the theme this time is
Tea, Coffee, Chocolate - use one.

I plumped for coffee....well it is my favourite thing, though chocolate does run pretty close lol.

It actually gave me the opportunity to use up these papers in my stash from the Maja collection - Coffee in the Arbour. I practically never use brown on my cards unless it's Kraft, but I actually really like this, though to give it a little lift I added in some purple from the Fika collection.

I decided on this digital stamp from Saturated Canary, she's called Neeve and comes in a bunch of 9 digis Another Bunch of Digis at a fabulous price, and since she's holding a coffee cup she was perfect to fit the theme.  I thought I would match her hair to the papers, I really couldn't be happier with how her hair turned out. It's a mix of Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves to give a lovely pink toned violet colour.

I finished off with some gorgeous Ribbon Girl goodies.

Cheesecloth
32 mm Clementine Ivory Tulle Lace
Ivory White Magnolia Flower
Lilac 30 mm Wild Roses
Brown 2 tone 30 mm Wild Roses
10 mm Square Ivory Pearl Trim FB
11 mm Ivory Pearl Flat Backs
8 mm Pearl Ivory Flat Backs

The rest of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts from my stash.

That's all from me today, but I do hope you can join in with the fun :) xx
