Novel GDT for LDRS

Happy Thursday peeps! Nearly the end of the week, I have a weekend of crafting lined up, what are your plans for the weekend?

I'm here to share my 2nd posting for the Beautiful Gorgeous release from Saturated Canary by Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  I just love all the stamps in this collection.

Today I used 'Novel' and also the “For a Special Friend” sentiment from the new Friends Vintage Sentiment Collection, and teamed them with some beautiful papers from Kaisercraft. I probably should have put a warning at the beginning of my post, this card is BRIGHT!  lol, but I love the mix of orange and pink here.

The shape has been cut with a Grand Nestabilities and then I backed one of the little shapes from the paper pack, with card and glued that behind at the top for a bit of extra contrast. As usual my layers are inked with Distress Ink, I used Black Soot this time to match in with the black in the papers, and hand sewn with coloured top stitch thread.

The beautiful butterfly, which goes so well with these papers I think, is from Karla's Kreative Korner. I cut the corners of my image with a reverse corner punch and mounted it on some black cardstock. I used some Glamour Dust on the edges for interest, and glued some flat back peals in the corners. The pages behind her are cut with an MFT die.

I coloured Novel in Copics, the colours are listed for you below, and paper pieced the skirt of her dress. I gave the ends of her hair a dip in pink. The gorgeous bling on the bow is from the Handcrafted Card Company. The pen nib is by Tim Holtz

Copics

To finish I decorated the inside to co-ordinate with the front. All the gorgeous ribbon, pearls, lace and some of the flowers, are from The Ribbon Girl, the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

If you're in the UK or Europe you can find Novel  at Dies to Die for.

This card is for sale now in my Etsy shop.
