Coco, Wonderful Wednesday for Kraftin' Kimmie

Good afternoon everyone. I'm still on my hols at the mo so posting this live today. It's Wednesday and  I'm sharing my GDT card for Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday challenge.  These are always Anything Goes challenges,  your submission must use at least one Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp but can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item....you name it!!
It must be a NEW creation and you can enter until Tuesday, April 1st when the winner for March will be announced!! What do you think.....wanna WIN??

**Please note that you are more than welcome to combine this Wonderful Wednesday Share to Win challenge with other challenges, BUT not our regular weekly challenges. This must be a new and different creation than anything you create for our Saturday challenges.

I decided to go with Coco Chocolate as I've been dying to use her and Tracy from Dies to Die for had sent me this delicious pack of paper full of reds pinks and chocolate browns, just perfect for this image I thought.
It's a simply fabulous pack, because not only do you get lots of strokeable double sided designs, you also get 2 pages of stickers! I've used some of the little word stickers to make my sentiment, but Coco does also come with it's own fabulous sentiment if you prefer to use a stamped one.  I've put links to the products I've used from the UK at the end of my post.

I coloured her with my Copics, I used E13, E11, E00, E000 for her skin, R81, R83, R85, R35, R37 and R59 for her outfit and so many different bown tones for her hair and the chocolates that I forgot to list them as I was working, mostly from the E20s and E50s, but also a couple from the E30s. For the white chocolate I used E50, E41 and E42.

The frame for the sentiment is a Tim Holtz book plate, I love using these but you do need a fairly solid card base to use them like this, as they're pretty heavy. The lovely pearl and diamante embellishment is from the Handcrafted Card Company, the pearl was cream, but I coloured it with my Copics to match.

I layered up some brown tulle (which I gathered by hand) which was a pressie from a friend, (thank you Susie!) with some pale pink lace, red satin ribbon and thin brown velvet ribbon, these were all leftovers from other cards that I've had in my stash for ages now. I had to use lots of glue and tape to hold all this lot down lol.

I finished the whole lot of with some die cut flourishes and some pearls and gems and then decorated the inside to complement the front, the picture isn't great I'm afraid, it was very hard to get the light in there when I took it.
Don't forget that Alyce from Kit & Clowder is doing a live colour along with Kraftin' Kimmie's Hannah Hearts this Saturday. Unfortunately Hannah appears to out of stock right now, but if you managed to snap her up we hope to see you at the live colour along...and wouldn't she look perfect on this card too?

Well that's all from me today, I'm off to my crafting corner to get as much as I can done today, it's back to work for me tomorrow *boo!* but then only 2 days till the weekend *yay!*.  I'll be back here on Saturday to share my last GDT card for Kraftin' Kimmie with you.
Until then, happy craftin' !! : ) x x

Saturated Canary Nevaeh at Dies to Die for

Good morning to all my lovely followers old and new, I seem to have gained a few more over the Christmas hols and it gives me such a lovely warm feeling knowing my work is appreciated, so big hugs to all of you : )

Rightyho then, on to my share for today, which is scheduled since I'm back at work this week ...BOO!...but have the day off tomorrow for New Years Day...YAY!.

I'm here with my Inspiration post for Dies to Die for and originally when I started this it was going to be a Thank You card, as I'm sure that lots of us have some of those to send out to say thank you for lovely Christmas gifts, but it ended up looking so spring like I thought I'd make it non specific as it could as easily be used as a Mother's Day or Easter card as a Thank You card.

I really love the way this one turned out so I do hope you like it, I've added links to items used at the end of the post.

These papers by Maja Design are just so gorgeous I had a hard time using them lol

I've used my absolute favourite Saturated Canary stamp, isn't she pretty? I've coloured her in Copics as usual.

Skin: E11, 00, 000, 0000, R20
Dress, tights and shoes: RV95, 93, 91, G85, 82, 00, BV00, 02, 04
Hair: E50, 53, 37, 35, 21

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The narrow white lace is from The Ribbon Girl.

The inside is decorated with the same papers to complement the front, with plenty of space to write a message.

I do hope that you have a lovely New Years Eve, I'm hoping that next year will be a little kinder to me and mine than this one has been as 2013 has been a little hard on us for some things, particularly my Dad's health so hopefully it's onwards and upwards for this year coming.
Take care and I'll see you all in 2014  : ) xx

Winter Friends at Crafty Catz

TGIF!! I'm counting down till Christmas, because even though I still have a frightening amount of stuff to do, I only have one more week at work and then I get a whole week off!! Woohoo, boy do I need it, I feel like I've been stumbling through life day to day recently trying to get everything done.  But enough of that, I'm here today with my DT card for the Crafty Catz Challenge blog.  It's our last one of the year and it's super easy.....Anything Goes!  So let your creativity flow!

My card is a Christmas card, and it'll be the last one I'll make this year. It was going to be for my daughter, but it wasn't quite finished in time (in fact I still have to decorate the inside lol) so I gave her the shaker one instead which she loved, but I'll have to use this stamp on hers next year, because it has a penguin, and she adores penguins. It was also supposed to be for the last ever CLP challenge and that's the sketch i followed, I just ran out of time and didn't get to enter it.

Papers are by Pion and Inkadoo, both from Dies to Die for. I used a Spellbinders Grand Nesties Labels one to create the card shape, the trees are a DooHicky die.

This is a Wee Stamps image called Winter Friends,  this is a Digi but you can get it in rubber here.
I coloured her up with Copic and I can't remember which colours I used now, I must get myself a notebook for this.

I dusted all the flowers with Twinklets for that frosty look, love this pearl trim.

I added a little liquid applique with some Twinklets on top to the trees.

Well that's it from me today, don't forget to come and see the rest of the DT creations at Crafty Catz, they really are wonderful and join in the fun with us, it's Anything Goes so super easy and we have not 1 but 2 prizes from our marvelous sponsors

Enjoy your Friday :) xx

I'm entering this card for the following challenges:

Hey Little Birdie, A Creative Romance DT

Happy Friday to all my lovely followers and visitors.  I'm so very glad that this week is over, it's been hectic, stressful and downright depressing. At the end of last week I was on top of the world and regardless of being too busy to catch a breath everything seemed to finally be going right, then I came crashing down to earth last night with some awful news, I won't go into details here but Christmas was almost cancelled.  We managed to pull some of the worst of it out of the fire, but still Christmas is not going to be quite so merry as it was.  Ahh well, I dare say I'll bounce back in time, but anyway I'll stop whinging now and share my card.

It's time for a new challenge over at A Creative Romance, and as it's our last one for this year, both the teams have combined to make it extra special.  The theme is
'Sparkle at Christmas'
so we want to see lots of sparkle on your cards.  Here's my take on the challenge.

I used one of the new Sugar Nellie Christmas Fairies but avioded a Christmas sentiment so that the card could also be used as a card for a winter birthday, or  thank you card etc.
I've used a Martha Stuart Punch Around the corner set to shape the card, and a Go Kreate die for the base of the image. Other dies used are Magnolia Doohickey Die - Leaf and Swirl  and  La-La Land - Scalloped Border The gorgeous papers are by Maja, from my favourite collection

Crea Diem - With All My Heart and
True Friendship love, love, love these. They've all been inked with Pumice Stone DI and stitched with grey top stitch thread and plenty of stickles on the edge for more sparkle.

I just love this image, all the new fairies are fab tbh, this one is called Hey Little Birdie, isn't she adorable?  Sooo pretty, I coloured her with Copics as usual, but I tried to keep my colouring quite light, as she's really delicate looking.  I really must try out colouring with distress inks soon, I think they would quite suit this. I'd add them to my Christmas list, but my list is already so long I think Santa may end up with a hernia lol!
I've added lots of Glamour Dust to her hat, collar, cuffs and wings for plenty of sparkle.

Flowers, ribbons, button . twine and lace are from The Ribbon Girl. The bird charm is from my stash.

I finished off with some clear gems for ...yup, you got it...extra sparkle.

This card is for sale in my Etsy Store with some other recent ones.

I hope you like my inspiration for today, do head over to A Creative Romance to check out the rest of the teams creations, they are very drool worthy!  Why not join in our challenge, you can use any image, and can enter as many times as you like and combine with other challenges, as long as it's a new creation and follows the theme.  We have a fab prize on offer from our sponsors

Well that's it from me today, if you haven't already, do take a look at my other card for today...it couldn't be more different than this one other than the colour lol, and if you haven't already entered my giveaway for a

you can find it

with up to 4 chances to win!

Enjoy your day, I'm working till 4.30 pm but I have crafting planned for my weekend, so I'll see you soon :) xx

Saturated Canary, Vintage Violet with a Twist of Lime

Good afternoon to all my lovely followers and those just dropping by, and a big welcome to my newest followers.  I'll admit I'm like a big kid and I always get really excited when I see that the number counter has gone up :)
I am feeling quite a bit better today, I just need to get rid of this chesty cough now, but I did sleep more this weekend and feel more lively.

I have a card to share with you today, this one I made just because I love the image and that was enough to inspire me. I hope you like it.

I seem to have a thing for lime this week don't I lol, but it goes so well with these deep purples.

The image is Vintage Violet from Saturated Canary, I've coloured her up with my Copics.

Skin: E000, 00, 11, R20, 11
Hair: E50, 51, 53, 55
Clothing: V99, 95, 93, 91, YG06, 03, 00, W05, 03, 02, 0

I finished off the image with small small spots of Liquid Pearls in Key Lime (this one doesn't get out much lol)

Papers used are Pion, Almas Sewing Room....so beautiful...if only you could tell under all the embellishments lol.  I've used several die cuts the Clock is from Cheery Lyn, the Swirls are Doo Hickey, the oval frame is Spellbinders and the button border is from Memory Box (I actually forgot I had this one and it works great for this card, I must use it more often)

The large pearl brad and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts except the white daisy which is from the Ribbon Girl as are the pearl beads, lace and top stitch thread.

The small crystal brads, pearls and the charm are from Live and Love Crafts, everything else is from stash, including the buttons which echo the ones on her dress.

I decorated the inside quite simply with coordinating paper from the collection, it leaves plenty of space for writing a message so I didn't add a mat.

I'll be popping this into my Etsy store later today.
*This card has now been sold*
