Saturated Canary Breeze in Blue

Hello there!

It's time for a new challenge theme over at Deep Ocean Challenge, and it's super easy this time as it's 'Anything Goes'

So I'm going to make a confession here, and I'm wondering if any others of you also do this.
Sometimes I stamp or print up a bunch of images with the intention of colouring them all up ahead of time ready to go on cards as and when needed. All well and good and fabulously organised you may think..........well think again, because what actually happens is I start colouring them and part colour them and then I get busy and work on other stuff that I need to do 'right now' and of course my poor partly coloured images languish, neglected and unused. So I'm trying to work my way through these before I stamp or print anymore.

Today is the turn of Breeze and I have to say that of all the stamps and digis I own, this is probably the one I've coloured the most, except maybe for Tiddly Inks 'You and Me'.

I thought I'd reprise a design I used for her before, but using a different Pion Collection in a different colourway, I've changed up a few other details as well such as card shape etc, but in essence it's the same basic design.

This is how it turned out

this was the original card.

I have to say straight up that I prefer the original card, ....everything actually from the colouring, to the warmer colours, the papers etc, and honestly I had a lot more time to spend on the original card and that definitely shows. But at least I've used up one of those abandoned images!

I do hope you can join in with our challenge and don't forget to check out the rest of the team's gorgeous makes here.

See you soon!

Saturated Canary - Breeze on Sale!

Hellooooo! Hope everyone is having a happy Saturday, I love Saturdays, there's still plenty of the weekend left and this one is even better because I have a few days off work next week so I don't have to go back in until Thursday, so I have  the added bonus of a nice short week afterwards lol.

Anyhoooo, on to the reason I'm here today. It's my turn to host over at the LDRS Creative blog and I'm very sad to say that it's my last post for them. I have loved my time with them, but sadly I just have too much going on lately that's eating up my free time (of which there is an ever decreasing amount), as I mentioned in a previous post. So this is my final inspiration today, using one of my most favourite ever stamps, Breeze by Saturated Canary. This stamp,. along with many others is currently on sale in the shop and you can pick it up for the low low price of $2.99! I'd pick up a few while you're there because that price is mega cheap and once they're gone they're gone.

I coloured her to match these wonderful papers from the Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour collection. Just love these, it isn't often that I use yellow, but paired with pink like this it's lovely. Another thing I don't do too often is black hair, but I really wanted to see what she looked like with black hair and sun kissed skin.

I decided to make one of my shaped easel cards and to be honest I made her this way to film a video tutorial because a few people have asked for a tutorial on making these. Well in the middle of making the tutorial my iPhone just decided to stop filming and I didn't notice until I'd already glued a vital part together...there was no going back, so no tutorial this time. Oh well I will have to do another later.

I added some beautiful ribbon girl products to my card and all my items (apart from those from my stash), are linked at the end of my post.

Breeze - Flowers at Deep Ocean Challenge

Good evening, it's time for another challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenge Blog, and this time our theme is

'Flowers'

Easy peasy right?

I used this beautiful flowery Pion paper and lots of paper flowers on my creation.  I've linked a lot of the products used at the end of my post for you.

I used the delectable Breeze from Saturated Canary here, she's in rubber from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps and I've coloured her with my distress ink markers. She's reduced over at Dies to Die for at the moment, so you can pick her up for cheap!

Just love this deep violet colour.

Pretty Blossom Purple/Violet

I do hope you can join us, we love to see your work and the entries for our last challenge were just amazing!

I'm entering the following challenge/s:
Addicted to Stamps - Flowers
Craft-Dee BowZ - Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow

This card is now sold.

That's all from me tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow with some more Little Darlings Inspiration.

See you soon! :) xx

Breeze - Easel, Stepper or Joy Fold card at Totally Tilda and Friends

Happy Sunday!  I hope you're all enjoying the weekend. I had my first full week at work since the Christmas holidays, so the weekend break felt sorely needed by me.  Mostly I've spent it relaxing and doing some crafting, what about you?

If you're looking for something to do, why not join in the new challenge over at Totally Tilda and Friends?  The challenge this time is Easel, Stepper or Joy Fold, just make a card of one of those types, you can use any stamp you want, as long as it's a rubber stamp and not a digi.

I chose an old favourite of mine, Breeze. She's drawn by the very talented Krista Smith of Saturated Canary and available in rubber from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  I've included links to items I've used at the end of my post.

Anyhooooo, this is what I did with her.

I made the shape with a Go-Kreate die.  The gorgeous papers are from the Maja Vintage Summer Basics collection 1933 and 1934. All have been edged with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain and all the layers on the front of the card have been hand stitched with Top Stitch thread.

This is what the card looks like closed, I coloured Breeze with distress ink markers, colours are listed below, and then covered the pink part of her dress with lashings of Glamour Dust.  She's a lot more sparkly in the flesh, but as usual the camera has not picked it up so well.

Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Aged Mahogany (cheeks) Milled Lavender, Victorian Velvet (lips)
Hair: Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Gathered Twigs
Dress: Evergreen Bough, Milled Lavender, Victorian Velvet
Background: Walnut Stain

The beautiful bling is from my stash.

Lots of lovely embellies from The Ribbon Girl

That's all from me for today, enjoy your Sunday, don't forget to sign up for my rubber stamp giveaway if you haven't already, and I'll see you again tomorrow with some La-La Land fun :) xx

Breeze at Dies to Die for

Happy Tuesday everyone!  For me it really is a happy Tuesday and for once my post is not scheduled because I'm off work until Thursday, yay!  So lots of crafting time for me !

Today I'd like to share a card I made for my DT inspiration over at Dies to Die for.

I used the delectable 'Breeze' a Saturated Canary stamp in rubber, produced by Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  Isn't she just gorgeous?  I coloured her with my Copics this time but I'm itching to colour her in distress inks too, she's so lovely to colour.
Skin : E11, E00, E000, E000, R20, R11
Hair: E50, E51, E31, E35, E37
Dress: BG70. BG72, BG75, E41. E42, E43

The papers are by Inkido, I love them so much I had a hard time cutting them and then when I went to link them I discovered they were out of stock, horror! There are others in the range that are very similar though and just as pretty. I distressed and inked all the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink and sewed them with Gutterman Top Stitch thread.

I used some beautiful Prima flowers, some gorgeous pleated organza ribbon, some gold lace which is just too lovely and I managed not to cover completely, some Prima bling and a beautiful brad to hold my seam binding bow in place.  As always links to items in the shop are at the end of this post.

I added some tiny Memory Box butterflies and some Liquid Pearls to finish off my image, and my sentiment.
The sentiment is from a whimsy stamp set and has been cut with a Marianne Design set of dies that I also used the cut the circle framing the image and the aperture for the inside of the card below.

Well that's all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with a post for Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday challenge.  Until then, have fun crafting! : ) x x
