Elisabeth Bell - Valentine Angel Blowing Kisses

Well, what a busy week it's been on my blog, I've barely had time to draw a breath. The good new is though that I now have 3 days off work...woohooo!! So some time to relax.

Today is my first posting for the

and our theme this month is

Anything but a Card

So you can make anything except a card. Don't forget that you must use an Elisabeth Bell image on your project, but this can be a digi or a rubber stamp, as long as the artist is Elisabeth Bell.

I made a gift bag using

from Elisabeth Bell Designs

I absolutely fell in love with this stamp as soon as I saw it and couldn't wait to colour her up.

I coloured her with my distress markers keeping the colours very subtle this time and glittered her wings with Glamour Dust.

I paired her with some beautiful Pion papers, these are from the

I do hope you can join in, you can find the rules here

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! :) xx

Saturated Canary - I Heart You

Morning! Hope your week is going well. Mine is a bit up and down. I'm popping in with a DT card for the Ribbon Girl today.

I've used I Heart You, a Saturated Canary digi that comes in the 'Buncha Digis' set. I've combined her with some pretty Pion Papers from the My Precious Daughter collection. Then of course I've used lashings of fabulous Ribbon Girl embellishments. I've linked the products at the end of my post as usual.

I coloured her with my distress ink markers. This is the new colour, Wilted Violet.

Wow, I may be getting the hang of this ...leaving some of the lace on show malarky....it's only taken me 2 years! lol

I kept the inside quite simple.

20 mm Edwina Deep Cream Scallop Lace
9 mm Plum Velvet Ribbon
Cheesecloth
Ballerina Charm
Cherry Blossom Lilac/White 2 Tone
20 mm Pink Open Rose
Pretty Blossom Pink
Pretty Blossom Purple/Violet
Beaded Berries Lilac/Purple/White
12 mm Pearl Ivory Flower Shaped Flatbacks
8 mm Pearl Ivory Flatbacks
6 mm Pearl Ivory Flatbacks
Hip Rose Bud Pink 2 Tone

Anything else is from my stash.  Hope you like her, enjoy your day! :) xx

Nevaeh @ Dies to Die for

Morning all, I should have posted this yesterday, but I was so tired on Thursday that I didn't get a chance to schedule it so was going to do it when I got in from work yesterday, but I got lured out for cocktails and frankly once I got in I wasn't capable of hitting the right keys on my keyboard lol, never again! Feeling most unwell today.

Anyhooo.....on with the card!
I decided to make another easel card (I don't make this very often, but I do love them), using the gorgeous Nevaeh by Krista Smith. She's on sale in the shop at the moment so snap up a bargain before she's out of stock!
eh (one of the first stamps I bought), and these lush papers from Pion.  I wanted to showcase the wonderful contrast of the purple and pink, so I coloured her outfit to match.

This is the card shown closed.
Colours used

Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Outfit: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves

This is the opened card, I kept the inside pretty simple so as not to distract from the front.

Products used:

I've just realised that it's my Blogversary in a few days time, wow that went fast! I will have to try and sort out some blog candy once I'm feeling better.

That's all from me today,  happy crafting! :) xx

Breeze - Flowers at Deep Ocean Challenge

Good evening, it's time for another challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenge Blog, and this time our theme is

'Flowers'

Easy peasy right?

I used this beautiful flowery Pion paper and lots of paper flowers on my creation.  I've linked a lot of the products used at the end of my post for you.

I used the delectable Breeze from Saturated Canary here, she's in rubber from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps and I've coloured her with my distress ink markers. She's reduced over at Dies to Die for at the moment, so you can pick her up for cheap!

Just love this deep violet colour.

Pretty Blossom Purple/Violet

I do hope you can join us, we love to see your work and the entries for our last challenge were just amazing!

I'm entering the following challenge/s:
Addicted to Stamps - Flowers
Craft-Dee BowZ - Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow

This card is now sold.

That's all from me tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow with some more Little Darlings Inspiration.

See you soon! :) xx

Kit

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you're all well and enjoying the weekend, and for those of you who make cards, its World Card Making Day today :)

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a very special reason.

Now I'm sure those of you who follow my blog regularly know that I often do GDT work around my regular DT slots.  It gives me an opportunity to work with different artists that I love, showcasing their designs in my own style.  Usually I just take up offers when I can fit them in and don't go actively looking, but Saturated Canary is having a GDT call and I just couldn't resist.

To give you some history, Saturated Canary images are one of the reasons I got into stamping and colouring in the first place.  I stumbled across somebody's blog where they'd used a SC image on a card and loved the image so much I googled for Saturated Canary Images......well I'm sure you can imagine the vast array of results I got.  Clicking on one of them led me to Bev Rochester's blog and I followed that by email (I had no blog at the time), and after a few weeks I decided I would try my hand at stamping and colouring. I bought quite a few SC digis and boy was choosing hard!

So SC images were one of my first loves in the world of stamping and that love has not faded with time, I love Krista's stamps, both digi and rubber and love to colour them up in both Copics and Distress Inks (and occasionally Inktense Pencils), so when I saw the GDT call I just had to try as it's been a dream of mine for a while to work with the DT, they have inspired me soooo much!

Anyway, enough waffle, this is my entry:

This is Saturated Canary's  Kit, she's a digital stamp and she's a required image for the call, isn't she adorable? Love that face and hair. I had a hard time deciding whether to colour her with Copics or Distress Inks, but in the end I went with DIs as I thought they would go well with the Pion papers that I chose. These are from the  My Precious Daughter collection. The beautiful sentiment is cut from the same collection. I've distressed. inked and stitched all my layers, and used a little shabby pink frantage around the image.

Colours used:

Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Fired Brick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Gathered Twigs
Clothes: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Antique Linen, Broken Twigs

I used a lot of heart motives to complement her hairstyle. I must admit it was quite hard getting the balance right on the card, because the extra height caused by the plaits makes this image quite tall in relation to the width. In hindsight I should have gone with a different shape card to balance it out, but instead I blanaced it by the use of shapes to break up the squareness of the card. I used the largest dies from my Spellbinders plain and scalloped heart nesties, a La-La Land Crafts Heart Doily die and an oval from the MFT Pierced Ovals Stax. The beautiful pearl heart on the bow is from The Handcrafted Card Company and I coloured the diamantes with my copics

The lace (almost hidden), pearls, pink tulle trim and ribbon are from The Ribbon Girl. Flowers are from Wild ORchid Crafts.

To finish I used more paper from the collection, another Spellbinders heart with another  Heart Doily behind and a few flat back pearls.

Hope you like it and wish me good luck on the GDT call, I would so love to be chosen, but there are only 2 spots available and lots of talented people entering, so I need all the luck you can send!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Live and Love Crafts #28 PINK anno 2014
