Baby Mine Boy Mini Album

Happy Friday everyone! If you're in the UK I hope you're looking forward the the long Bank Holiday weekend.  It's even longer for me because I have a whole week off, so there won't be much to see from me next week as I'm going away to Guernsey for a few days and then to my parents to celebrate my Dad's 85th! So not much will be happening on here, but look out for a special post from me on the 30th...it's actually my Dad's birthday on that day, so it will be scheduled, but you won't want to miss it.....not saying any more lol!

Anyway, this is my cute little mini album made with Carta Bella Baby Mine Boy....I just love these papers sooooo much!

To be honest this could as easily work for a girl where the family isn't much into pink, also.

This is the front, I went for a 3 ring binding this time. I really love the way this came out.

The inside pages.  There are photo mats on all pages and spaces for tags. There's a flip open page that closes with a small magnet and also a flip down page with a ribbon and button closure.

I used lots of fun die cuts to embellish along with some buttons and enamel dots.

If you want to watch it directly on YouTube you can follow the link below

I used the following items:
Dies to Die for

Ribbon Girl

I hope you like it! That's all from me today, I have more mini album goodness to share with you another day, but don't worry, as you can see from yesterdays post, I haven't given up making cards!

Happy crafting! :) xx

Baby Marci at Dies to Die for

Happy Friday everyone! Just a few (well quite a few lol) hours and it will be the weekend! Yay!  This week has been soooo busy at work, you know how it is, you have some holiday and the work is all piled up and a mess to clear through when you return.  What happened to it being quieter over the Easter holidays?!

Anyway, I managed to make this card last week when I was on my hols and I have to say that I love the way it came out. Baby Marci is a fave of mine and these papers from Carta Bella....well what can I say, I had to really restrain myself from buying extra pads lol, I still may cave in, they are just sooooo pretty and such a nice change from the usual mainly pink (though there's enough pink in there too to please).

I kept my decorations fairly restrained (for me!) because I really did not want to cover too much of the lovely paper.

I've popped links to the items used at the end of my post.

I coloured Baby Marci with Distress Ink and Aquatint markers.

Skin: Vintage Photo
Hair Antique Linen
Clothing, Accessories and Bunny: Spun Sugar, Rose Pink (AQT), Victorian Velvet, Evergreen Bough, Slate (AQT), Brushed Cordury,

3mm Satin Ribbon Aqua
3mm Satin Ribbon Pink

Vintage Violet at Dies to Die for

Happy Tuesday crafters!  I'm very happy to be here today to share my inspiration post with you because I really love the way this turned out, you know how sometimes you see something on someone's blog or FB and you think, wow, I would love to be able to make something like that....well when I finished this card I felt almost like that except it was my own work!  I hope that doesn't sound too vain, I'm just sooo happy with this one, it really is one of my best ever works (in my opinion).

Soooo what did I make?  Well some time ago now Tracy sent me some lovely Carta Bella papers, Sew Lovely  and though I really like them, I really wasn't coming up with any inspiration for using them.  Then more recently I received a die set Stitched with Love  by Taylored Expressions in my DT pack to play with, I decided they were made for each other and put them together with Vintage Violet by Saturated Canary from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  Now I know there's nothing on this stamp to do with sewing, but she always makes me feel like she puts her outfits together from vintage buys on an old sewing machine.

Anyway, here's what I made putting them all together.

I also added a Memory Box Button Border at the top of my card. I've distressed and inked all my papers and hand stitched them with top stitch thread. Violet is coloured with distress ink, pads and markers.
Colours used:
Hair: Antique Linen and Broken Twigs
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo
Clothing Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Peacock Feathers, Black Soot
Shadow: Pumice Stone.

I cut her out with a Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles nestie and popped a little cheese cloth behind my layers.

The Satin ribbon, lace, flowers, pins and pearls are from The Ribbon Girl and the tape measure ribbon is by Kaiserkraft and was a gift.

I cut all the dies cut pieces from a sheet of Bazill Basic, I'm sorry but I can't remember which colour this was, and then backed them with plain white card stock, this makes them less bendy.

I hope you like my make for today as much as I do, I only hope I can do as well on the next one!!
Just to let you know that from next week I'll be saying 'Happy Friday' as I'll be changing my posting day for Dies to Die for from a Tuesday to a Friday as this evens out my week a little more.
That's all from me for today, but I'll see you again next week, have fun! : ) x x
