Tiny Townies - Blossom Loves Balloons

Happy Friday everyone. I'm always pleased when Friday rolls around, because apart from the fact that it's the end of my working week and I can look forward to some weekend crafting time, I get to share my D2D4 DT make with you.

This time I used one of the new super cute Tiny Townies from Stamping Bella.
I love these!
This is Blossom Loves Balloons and I paired her with the new delicious Summer Crush collection from Maja Design, they are just yummy.

Here's what I made

Walnut Stain Distress Ink

Pale Pink Pure Silk Ribbon
Clementine Ivory Lace
20 mm Dusky Blue Open Rose
Apple Blossom Mixed Pastels
Pretty Blossom Pink
Beaded Stamen Blue/White

Well that's all from me today, but I'll be back on Sunday with some more cuteness to share with you. Yup, despite having an awful head cold, I've been a very busy girl this week lol!
See you soon! :) xx

I Do Mini Album

Hello everyone, and no the title does not mean I'm getting married again lol. I used a fabulous stamp from Stamping Bella, this is from the Close Ups range. Whilst trying desperately to sort my papers, I discovered that I had 2 of these MME Lost & Found Heirloom pads, both with just a few pages used, no idea how that happened, so I was looking for a project to use them up.  I decided to combine them with this stamp and make a mini album that would be suitable for an engagement or a wedding, maybe even an anniversary.

As I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't want to think too much I used envelopes for my pages. I used a project from Ginger of My Sister's Scrapper here as inspiration for the basic pages, but I didn't follow her tutorial as she used quite a different style of envelope which I could not get in the shape and size that I used, so I just did my own thing and kept it super simple. Basically I glued down the flap to the inside and then glued a square of design paper on top, making sure that I didn't apply glue to the area where there was an empty space, so that it left a pocket.
I did use Ginger's method for attaching the envelopes to Kathy Orta's Hidden Hinge binding.
The envelopes I used came with matching cards, and I used some of the cards to make booklet inserts to hold photographs.

Even though it's fairly simple I like the way it came out and you could fit quite a lot of photographs in this album.

I've added a list of items used at the end of my post.

I covered my album with some neutral card stock and then matted with the design papers on black cardstock. I matted the image (coloured with Copics) onto some black cardstock also and popped a die cut doily behind, then I used some gorgeous mulberry flowers , a metal key and some beautiful pearl and diamante bling to embellish.

I covered the spine with some lovely ruffled trim and added 3 shades of pink seam binding which I scrunched to make more vintage looking and some charms.

Some pictures of the inside.

I made a little envelope again with my envelope punch board.

On the inside back cover I cut a large heart with a Whimsy die and stamped the sentiment that comes with the image stamp.

It's very difficult to show you everything in photographs, so I have a video below so you can see allthe pockets and interactive stuff better.

I'm late sharing my make for the new challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenge blog, as I wanted to get this video made first and time and the weather have been against me.

Anyway here it is, our theme is

Paisley has a Prezzie at Dies to Die for

Happy Tuesday everyone, I'm here with my usual Tuesday inspiration post for Dies to Die for, and so far the week has been off to a great start, apart from some guest DT work which I can't announce just yet ;), my card for last week's Dies to Die for post made the Banner of the Little Darlings Rubber Stamps Facebook  group page....how exciting is that? and if that wasn't enough I'm also being featured today on Copic in the Craftroom's Facebook page as their Tuedsay Toot! I'm just over the moon. I hope you've all had a great start to your week  too.

Today I'm using one of the fabulous new Stamping Bella stamps, Tracy has all the new ones in now and o my it was sooooo hard to chose, I really want them all!

But in the end I settled on Paisley has a Prezzie, she is just so pretty and this will be ideal for decorating a card for many different occasions.  I colored her up in Distress Inks today, but I'd really like to colour her up in Copics as well sometime soon, I really love this design.

I used this Marianne Design Craftables die in a bit of a different way for me here, I LOVE the effect it created and I accented with a La-La Land fence. I think it gives a fairly basic sketch that something extra, don't you?

I went with the Echo Park pack (I used this on a card I did on Saturday and there was still plenty left to make this card and I still have bits left, and that was with only a part of the pack!).

I loved making this card, it was so much fun, I do hope you've enjoyed it too.  That's all from me for now, but I'll be popping by on Thursday with a bit of a surprise and then the really BIG news next Monday, I can't wait!! : D x x

Audrey in Paris at Dies to Die for

Good morning world!  I'm on my hols this week and I'm loving it.  I had a lovely birthday and now I get to spend most of this week crafting away to my heart's content.  Anyway on with my inspirational make for Dies to Die for today, I was going to do another Valentine, as it's Valentine's week, but I thought the card I'm sharing today had a kind of Valentine feel about it even though it isn't a Valentine's card.

I made this card after a conversation with somebody who has become a regular buyer of my cards on Etsy. We discussed a birthday card for her sister, who, she said, loves Audrey Hepburn and Doris Day and adores Paris, pink was also mentioned.  So I've been playing around with a few things with that in mind and here is a kind of Prototype.

I've used Maja Design papers from the Crea Diem collection.  Links to products are as always at the end of the post.

The stamp is called 'Audrey loves her make-up', one of the Uptown Girls from Stamping Bella.  She also comes with a sentiment, which I didn't use here as it's quite large. I've coloured her with Copics:

Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20 for cheeks
Clothes: R81, R83, R85, W5, W3, W1, W0
I did add a little glitter to her too, but it is not showing up AT ALL on the photos :(

The scrabble letters are from Whimsy, they also do a die to match, but I don't have that so I just hand cut them. The Eiffiel Tower is a La La Land's die. I've also used some Prima bling here.

You can see another LLL die here and the sentiment is from Whimsy, I wanted the matching die for this but it's currently out of stock so I'll have to wait for that one, the sentiment looks pretty good anyway, even cut by hand. As usual I've almost covered my lace, I really do need to do something about that. all other items are from my ever growing stash.

I do hope you enjoyed my share today, I'll be back on Friday with my post for A Creative Romance :) xx
