Elisabeth Bell - Skippydee

Hi everyone!
Did you see the shiny new GDT badge on my blog?  Well if you missed it, I've been invited to join the Digi Bells, Elisabeth Bell's talented design team as a guest for the next 3 months, how exciting is that?

So this is my first official post for them and you'll be seeing lots more Elisabeth Bell cuteness from me over the coming weeks.

So, onto my creation today.

I made a card using the delightful Skippydee, one of Elisabeth's older Little Cottage Cuties collection from Whimsy Stamps.
I coloured her with my distress ink markers to match some pretty Pion Design papers. As usual I have links at the end of my post.

Isn't she pretty?  I decided to keep to quite pale colours after yesterdays brights. All my layers are edged with Walnut Stain distress ink.

I just love this gorgeous silk ribbon, it makes such lush bows.

I layered with some dies cuts and finished off with lots of lovely Ribbon Girl embellishments.

I finished the inside with some more paper from the collection.

That's all from me from me today but I will be back with you all again soon :) xx

Eva at Dies to Die for

Happy Friday !! It's the end of another working week and a weekend of crafty fun to look forward to. I've been a busy little bee recently with lots of makes to share here now and lots for future releases, so far I've been lucky and Mr Mojo has not deserted me, let's hope he doesn't decide to do a runner after I type this lol!

Today I thought I'd share Eva again, I used her back in January and I used quite deep strong colours and I thought it might be fun to colour her again in a quite different style...well still MY style, but I thought it might be nice to go for much lighter softer colours etc to show the difference.

I used the beautiful Paris Fleamarket Collection from Pion Design, these are so yummy.

I coloured her with distress inks to match my papers.

Skin: Vintage Photo, Victorian Velvet
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut
Clothing: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvey, Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Evergreen Bough (I blended these a bit to get the colour I wanted)

I used plenty of Glamour Dust on her top and underskirt for sparkle.

I cut out letters from the border sheet to make a little sentiment in a Scrapberry polymer frame, I used some Frantage in Shabby Pink over the frame for a nice effect.

I echoed the layout on the front inside the card, using one of the border strips to replace the lace and ribbon.

This card is for sale in my Etsy store, just click the link below

That's all from me for today, but I'll be back on Sunday.  Have a great weekend! :) xx

Paris Flea Market - Vintage at DOC

Good evening everyone, this card should really have gone live last Friday, but I was a little late though not being well and then when I got home from work I fell asleep and didn't get to post it!  and as it fitted so well for our next challenge at Deep Ocean Challenge which is

Vintage

and I was posting late anyway, I thought I'd combine the two and post for both DOC and Dies to Die for with the one card.

As I hadn't been feeling well I wanted to make a card that wouldn't require colouring an image, so I chose these gorgeous papers from the new (ish) collection by Pion, 'Paris Flea Market'.

They are all so lovely I had a hard time deciding what I was going to use, but they also have a fabulous sheet of vintage images that are just perfect when you don't want to stamp and colour.

So I got out my ink, distressing tool, needle and thread and some gesso and distressed and shabbied everything up.

This is the result.

I've linked the products I've used at the end of the post.

Products used:

9mm Pink Velvet Ribbon
Pink Button Twine
8mm Pearl Ivory Flat Backs
6mm Pearl Ivory Flat Backs
Dusky Blue Wild Rose
Cherry Blossom Antique Blue Two Tone

Well that's all from me today, but I hope to see your lovely vintage makes over at Deep Ocean Challenge soon! :) xx

Hand me Downs

Happy Friday to all my lovely followers and visitors. I have another share for you as GDT for Saturated Canary....sooooo exciting!!
Today the Saturated Canaries are starting our next image showcase challenge over on our Saturated Canary Facebook page.

And its a super duper one this time! we just want to see where your creativity takes you so its...
Anything Goes.

You can make any creation you like be it card, scrap page, an altered something, smash book/journal page etc...just let your creativity go!

The prize, as always, will be 2 digital images of your choice from the shop and the rules are super simple too..

* you can enter ONLY ONCE

( this makes it fair for everyone )

* you can enter with any FINISHED creation but...IT MUST BE HANDCRAFTED

(digital colouring of Krista's images is not permitted in accordance to TOU's)

Krista has some gorgeous new digi stamps available in the shop here and I would have loved to have used one, but this week has been super busy and I just didn't get quite enough time, this image was already partly coloured and I'd chosen her to go with these lovely Pion Papers from the new Paris Flea Market collection that I won recently but you can buy them here.  I thought she went just perfectly!

This is HandmeDowns  isn't she pretty? I just love her. I've coloured her in Distress Inks

Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Broken Twigs, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet
Clothing: Pumice Stone, Broken China, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Mowed Grass.
Floor: Walnut Stain

I popped a little cheese cloth behind my layers to soften the edges and I added a couple of bits from the cut out sheet. I edged all my layers with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, but I didn't sew all my layers for once as I needed to be quick and hand sewing takes a long time, but I did sew around my image to frame her, with top stitch thread in blue.

I added some lace, ribbon, buttons and flowers for my embellishments, most of these can be found at The Ribbon Girl.

Finally I decorated the inside simply to complement the front.

That's all from me today, but I'll be back on Sunday with my post for Totally Tilda & Friends.

Have a great Friday! :) xx
