Welcome to the ...

Whimsy Stamps December release BLOG HOP!

The Whimsy Stamps DT and GDT have been sharing some amazing creations made with the new stamps and dies over the last couple of days, and today we are celebrating their release with a GRAND BLOG HOP!

The hop starts today (Wednesday December 3rd at 12.00PM noon ET) and ends on Friday December 5th at 12.00pm noon ET.

If you would like to hop along with us today, please CLICK HERE to start the hop at Louise's blog.

Today's project uses Time for Tea's 'Cocktail Dress'. I loved colouring her in, I got out my Copics this time and matched her up to some sophisticated purple papers.

Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E30, E31, E33
Clothing: RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99, V93, V95, V99

A die cut doily, some beautiful lace a bit of seam binding, flowers and a couple of gorgeous butterflies and voila, one sophisticated lady.  I think this would make a lovely card for a special birthday or celebration.

I hope you like my card and I do hope you'll join in with the hop.

One lucky hopper will win a $25 gift certificate! To enter the draw, simply leave a comment at EVERY stop along the hop by 12.00pm noon on Friday December 5th.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Happy hopping!

Sweet Saraleigh - GDT for Whimsy December Blog Hop Day 2

*Please scroll down for my La-La Land Club post*

Welcome to Day 2 of the Whimsy Stamps ...
December 2014 Release

Longer ago now than I can actually remember, the very sweet Denise Lynn from Whimsy Stamps asked me if I would like to guest for them once again. Of course I said yes!

So I am thrilled to join Whimsy Stamps as a guest designer this week to help showcase their December release!

This week Whimsy is releasing 10 *BRAND NEW* red rubber stamps/stamp sets and 4 *BRAND NEW* coordinating die/die sets, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers TOMORROW.

Whimsy is thrilled to welcome Lizzy Smith, Linda Levoir (me!), Pauline Yates and Crissy Armstrong as Guest Designers for this release.

Today we are excited to show you the brand new Wee Stamps and Mi Ran Designs stamps. For a full reveal of these stamps, hop on over to the Whimsy blog!

For today's project, I got to play with Sweet Saraleigh, drawn by the lovely and talented Mi Ran Jung, aren't I lucky, she's sooooo pretty.

I went full on cupid for this and coloured her with distress markers for a beautiful soft effect which I thought really suited her.

I slathered her wings with lots of Glamour Dust.  The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps and is cut with a coordinating die which comes with a special guide that helps you match the die to the stamp perfectly!

This is the stamp I used

You can find these products in the Whimsy Store and if you live in the UK or Europe, you can get them at Dies to Die for.

PRIZE ALERT ... We have hidden a fabulous prize of a $15 GIFT CERTIFICATE at one of the stops on today’s hop! We will draw the lucky winner from the comments left on today’s design team posts (listed below), so be sure to visit everyone and leave a comment at every stop to be entered into the draw.

Be sure to visit the Whimsy blog again tomorrow for the release day grand hop!

Thanks so much for visiting today. Happy hopping! I'll be back again tomorrow! :) xx

November Kit Club - La-La Land Crafts

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm feeling far less stressed this week, though with 7 cards to try to make/post this week I may change my mind by the weekend lol!

Anyway I'm here with my take on the November Kit Club from La-La Land Crafts.

You can find full information about the club here.

I really love this set and honestly I'm not entirely sure I did it justice, I had lots of ideas but as you know the last few weeks were hard for me and my Mojo ran away. But I hope you like what I make and do be sure to check out all the rest of the makes by the DT on the Blog, because they really have done some amazing work with this kit.

I tried something completely new for me and made a mini album. I enjoyed this so much it's definitely something I'd like to try my hand at more and some more complex ones, I just need to find the time.

Copics Used:
Skin:E13, E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E40. E42, E44
Clothing: BG72, BG75, BG18, YR21, YR23, YR24, R35, R37, R59

Here's a look at a few of the pages.

Now I have to admit that I had plans to make a 2nd mini album in a different style, but time and mojo ran away over the last week or so, so I ended up going with a card instead. For once I went with distress inks markers in bright rather than muted tones. I added hints of pink and streaks of glitter to her hair for fun, but it's a little hard to make out in the photo.

Distress Ink Markers Used:
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar
Hair: Spun Sugar
Clothing and camera: Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Broken China, Pumice Stone.
